Kayleb looked back and saw that Synn had mysteriously disappeared. He shrugged and helped him self to some plates of breakfast. There was a bunch of food he couldn't identify so he went for things he knew. That said, he ended up with a plate that had 4 fried eggs, 6 sausages and copious amounts of bacon in his right hand and another plate with 3 pastries, a banana, a bunch of grapes, an apple and several slices of cake on his head. His left hand was reserved for holding Saydie. Just as he was looking for a place to sit, Kayleb saw Synn in red and copper robes with a bunch of other students with matching red and copper robes. Maybe Synn was in some kind of position of power or something. As Kayleb was thinking, a booming 'GOOD MORNING!' echoed throughout the hall, almost making Kayleb drop his plates. He looked in the direction of the voice and saw a lion man on a wooden stage near the end of the hall. A lion man! Saydie said in surprise. 'Yup, that's a lion man alright.' Kayleb responded, speaking aloud because he thought no one would care. He looks so fluffy! Saydie said. That's not what I was expecting you to say... Kayleb responded. As the lion man went through some announcements, Kayleb tucked Saydie under his arm, took a pastry from his head and chewed it slowly, not paying attention and eating out of hunger and boredom. Something was said about first classes (which Kayleb had already missed) and a headmistress Isabella for announcements. His attention was brought back to the stage as the pale teacher from this morning walked to the stage. Didn't the lion man say something about a headmistress for announcements? Does that mean the person he met this morning was a principal of this school??? Lucky me. Kayleb said. He still had that hall pass she gave him which might come in handy later. That being said, he really needed someone to explain things to him. He needed a tour, probably (though he'd end up getting lost anyway so a map would probably do), and the the headmistress had just mentioned something about curfews. He supposed that the students couldn't exactly go 'home' from the large, mountainous region; but hey, magic. That said, he himself didn;t have anywhere to stay and one of the very reasons he was there in the school was because he didn't have a home. Well, he'd have to figure it out somehow. He'd probably need to ask the faculty or something. The old chinese homeless guy apparently had everything covered so he should be registered and they'd probably already given him a room. That said, he'd missed the first day so he didn't know his way around and he didn't know any of his classes. Well, he'd have to figure it out later. He was already on his 3rd pastry. Maybe he'd go get some more. Synn and his robed colleagues had also taken the stage with the pale headmistress. 'Now, please give a round of applause for our award winning Jimber team!' She said. Most of the students applauded as Synn and co. stepped forward and Kayleb did too, as best he could with a plate on one hand and one on his head. Jimber? What's Jimber? Kayleb thought. Synn stepped up to make a speech 'inviting' people to join the Jimber team. The way the Synn said excited in a such a monotone almost made Kayleb laugh from irony and his 'invitation' was more like a challenge since Synn was the vice captain. When Synn finished his speech, Kayleb clapped out of friendliness but no one else did due to his grim voice and people near him gave him strange looks. Kayleb thought it was pretty funny. As in the ironic kind of funny, because there was no way anyone would expect someone like Synn to have such a 'warm welcome' speech with that kind of monotone. But he tried it anyway and that's what made it funny. Speech over, Kayleb looked around again for a seat. He could see the second headmistress head over to a girl and a bewildered looking guy. The guy looked a little surprised at everything going on. Kayleb supposed that the guy was kind of like him. A guy with supernatural powers with no idea what to expect of this school. With less composure. Kayleb mused. He seemed to be following the girl so she must have been a senior student. He would've said hi, but the pale lady started talking to them and led them somewhere where he wasn't sure they'd be back from. Kayleb shrugged, almost dropping his plate and looked for a seat.
