I'm thinking of taking up the suggestion that BlackSam gave me of having Shade be active, but kept away from the rest of the people. So maybe what I can do is have her be on the same bus in, but written separately so that you get the disjointedness and different interpretations through people watching the other people on the bus -- something they can connect over later. Maybe one kid was really damned annoying haha
