Maddox brought a hand to his chin as Damian gave a brief demonstration of his magic. "Not quite Requip," he noted aloud, before shrugging. "An interesting magic nonetheless. I'm sure I'll see what you can truly do eventually." He took a pause to finish his drink. It was clear that he didn't take his time with his alcohol. After setting the empty glass down and pushing it aside, Maddox turned back to Damian. "But the military background is more interesting." A grin formed at his lips before he chuckled. "Not many like you in guilds. Wizards in the Royal Army tend to gravitate towards working for the Magic Enforcement squads than joining a guild." The grin vanished now as Maddox stood up from his seat. "You seem like an interesting new addition, even if you aren't so new apparently. I think I can see why Jamie likes you already." The red-haired mage started walking away from the bar toward the front door. "I'm going to go home. I haven't slept in my own bed in nearly four months now." With a wave of his hand serving as his goodbye, Maddox pushed open the front doors and stepped outside. However, before the doors could close behind him, he entirely vanished from sight. If someone had blinked, they would've missed it.
