Oh I had to google NPC. Maybe not like lazer eyes, but maybe a few of them can be strangely stronger and more capable. It can be part of the plot.

Also, btw, inside they don't use guns because their are hazardous gas's inside that are easily ignited I am thinking they just find rows of odd plants inside, being grown in their own little plastic pots with special blue lighting above them..they are not normal plants.
