I can't say I don't have a problem with Hato's finger being bitten off. It's a rat, or a small rodent, it lacks the manpower to break a human bone. Also, the woman who just arrived on scene appears COMPLETELY calm and nonchalant about the fact that a teenager is probably clutching his bloody (no pun intended) finger. The veins in his finger would be bleeding profusely, which would stir some sort of reaction then a remark about the way he's holding a music box. I understand that there are things which will happen to our characters without consent, that's what we all signed up for. But it would be nice if there was a tad bit more logic. I'm sure Hato would react while a rat is burrowing into and through his marrow. Also, he was pressing the box against the rodent's head. He would have pressed its brains in before it could bite through.
