In hopes of adding a little bit of fun I have decided to try and make a character who is an exchange student. He is from Canada and has been sent to the school his mother went to which is Hogwarts. Name: Devin Coal Nickname(s): N/A Gender: Male Age: 11 House: Sorting Hat Appearance: Wand:
Core: Thunderbird Feather Wood: Red Wood
Pet: Red Tailed Falcon Strengths: Creative - Curious - Humorous - Honest - Kind Weaknesses: Stubborn - Restless - Reckless - Candid - Proud (Muggle) Personality: Friendly, adaptable, and action-oriented is a excellent start to describing Devin's personality. He is very much a "doer" who can often be focused on immediate results causing him to live in the here-and-now. A risk-taker who, even at 11, has already developed a love for living a fast-paced lifestyle. Devin can become impatient with long explanations. This is especially true when he can't see the value in what is being explained. Extremely loyal to their peers, but not usually respectful of laws and rules if they get in the way of getting things done. Devin has constantly shown great people skills. History: Devin was born in Vancouver B.C. to Linda and Sean Coal. Upon his birth Devin's father was given two surprises. He learned that his wife was a witch. This new information did little to change his feelings for his wife and new born child, but it did leave him somewhat confused which has continued to present day. He learned along side his son what it meant to be a member of the magical community and what his wife's hopes were for their child. Thankfully they seemed to agree that getting Devin involved in the magical community at an early age would be the smartest thing to do. So after muggle school every weekday they send their son to an after school program for magical children. The after school program lead into the family talking about where they wanted their son to study. Linda was in favor of sending their child to Hogwarts while her husband worried that this would force his son into a world he can't always follow. He also worried that he wouldn't be able to go to college and further his education as a muggle. The agreement was that Devin would be allowed to attend Hogwarts until the end of middle school. At that time he would be sent to a summer program every year after Hogwarts to test his muggle knowledge and academics. If he ever falls too far behind he would be pulled from Hogwarts and put into a muggle school. Devin has had all this explained to him and is eager to start this new challenge. NPCs: Work in Progress
