The young man who would become the thief is rumored to have been a locksmith's apprentice, others say he was a mob soldier who went rogue, and then others say he was just birthed from the hard concrete and cold steel of New York. Whatever his origin, Stein first became known in the criminal underworld when as a teenager, he led a small gang of stick-up artists in Baltimore and cleaned a million in cold, hard cash from that city's drug dealers. He moved on and evolved, roaming across the US and robbing anything from banks and armored cars to gun runners and art museums. Stein's legend grew across the country and abroad as that of an urban legend, the so-called master thief who could never be caught and who always got away no matter the amount of heat on him. Events would transpire that would challenge his reputation as a man who made clean getaways. After a failed bank robbery in Denver, Stein found himself in a town called Justice. Low on cash and having a line to a local crime boss, Stein found himself under the employee of the McKenna Crime Family. His job was to harass their local rivals by robbing any and every front business, stash house, and place where they kept cash. Stein and his small band of thieves met their match when they ran up against a local biker gang. Stein was the sole survivor of both gangs and, with a mob bounty on his head, he had no choice but to flee the country. He bounced around Europe until he finally found a place to lay low in Ireland. It didn't take long for his old ways to get the best of him and he soon was back robbing local business that were legit and not mob fronts. He eventually caught the eye of the local crime family, the Duffys. They recognized the threat Stein could pose, and they also knew why he was on the run. They came to him with a choice: Either work for them or they would tip off the people in Justice about where he was. Stein took the deal and now works as an associate for the family, running a local pawn shop that fences stolen goods as well as occasionally having to act as an enforcer in family affairs when a strong touch is needed. Extra: -- A career criminal who has worked globally, Stein has connections with numerous criminal organizations around the world.
