Noelle Vandread/Empress Noel watched as the C.E. went off waddling into the horde of Dead Mask. Noel could hardly believe what she was doing and face palmed. "That is the shittiest kamikaze charge I have ever seen..." Worst still was that the C.E. forced the line of officers to break for a moment to let her through, which allowed some of the dead masks to rush in. They were taken care of in quick order, but Noel was debating if she shouldn't just kill the C.E. herself, given that so far all she's done was compromise their defensive position and fail to break through the enemy. Regardless of the space hero's efforts, or the lack there of, Noel ordered some of her marksmen to start shelling the area behind the Dead Masks. Outnumbered as they are, there isn't an infinite amount of those things, and she was certain if that if they kill off whatever witchcraft was controlling these things, all the Dead Masks would cease to be a threat. Things were only going from bad to worse however as the power in the area was abruptly cut off. The police were using their own generators on the APC, but even Noel wouldn't know the full ramifications of shutting off the power to the entire city block, least of all the one with all this activity. Undeterred however, Noel took up a mortar and started shelling the Dead Masks herself, looking for anything or anyone who may be the one behind all of this. The Dead Masks, in the mean time, continued to charge the police line but also the C.E. and Cain. They lacked any real unique abilities aside from their massive numbers and their general zombie-like qualities. This did however allow them to charge without fear towards both characters, even if all they did was pile their corpses on top of them. Which against the C.E., seemed like exactly what they were trying to do. Even against Cain, the severed halves of the Dead Masks crawled towards him in an untiring attempt to slow him down. --- Damon/Dark Matter Damon and Asyr touched down at the police HQ, which while so far untouched by any villainous activities, seemed to be fighting it's own war. Ever minute a police cruiser or a fancy APC was rushed out of the garage, and deafening chatter covered the entire first floor. Men and women in business suits paced back and form between stations and a veritable army of 911 call responders were doing their best to vocally ease the chaos in the city. Despite the madness, Damon was not deterred. The police seem to be doing something to fight the crime now that Asyr is out, and surely they wouldn't mind having her back if it means putting an end to this mess. Now Damon just needed to find someone to talk to. "Asyr, stay here and see if you can rally some support. I'm going to snoop around and see what strings I can pull to get us some help here. I got a feeling that the police has too much on their hands to really be of use to us, but every bit helps, yeah?" Damon transformed himself into the likeness of a officer and walked into the HQ. Hopefully he could get something from his troubles, even if it's just equipment.
