I'm just still waiting on the MRM to do something for men, but it spends its time bitching about how terrible feminism is instead. A majority of MRAs think the issues men deal with today are caused by women and/or feminism (hint hint, they're not). I invested time in the movement for about a week before I realized how backwards it was. And most of the issues they talk about are things feminism is trying to fix anyway.
Just swap the places you use MRA and Feminism and it would be just as true. :/ A lot of MRA is just arguing against feminist, true. But a lot of feminism is also just arguing MRA. Where outside of where they are simply fighting one another I've tended to see the following.
You get the rare person who actually has something out for women. But the rest tend to be people who are either: a) Gender Egalitarian in practice, but adopted MRA in retaliation to try to counter the damage feminism causes. b) Gender Egalitarian in practice, but in the way that they claim to be both MRA and Feminist. c) Were generally not involved in social justice issues until feminist start something like Feministfrequency or Zoe Quinns 5 guys. Essentially attacking people with no base, arguments or proof so they essentially became MRA to defend what is being unfairly attacked (this one is basically just arguing feminism, but I felt it deserved a distinction cause it's doing so in defense of something being attacked. Not out of a pure vendetta for feminism).

You get the rare (unless if you're on the internet, then it's common, abundant if on Tumblr) feminist who has something out for men, and any woman who doesn't fit their personal standards. But the rest tend to be people who are either: a) Gender Egalitarian in practice, but in the way that they claim to be both MRA and Feminist. b) Uses the term out of some sort of loyalty to 1st and 2nd wave Feminism. c) Are Gender Egalitarian in practice, but were tricked by a feminist into thinking that Modern Feminism actually means Gender Equality. C I find being the most common because most of the Internet wars that feminism is involved in today is unknown to the general public upon introduction to feminism. Most people's only real point of reference at the time is feminisms history, so naturally they go "Oh wow, feminists were awesome back then! I bet there awesome now too, sign me up!" and then either simply adopt the name of feminist and then continue with their daily life. Or get more into it, but because they're first impression of feminism was gender equality they tend to react to most criticisms or disagreements with third wave feminism as simply being people "Not understanding feminism".
And note I say this as someone who when I first got involved in these issues regarded myself as a Feminist for a while. But then after a few years of noticing all the flaws with feminism, I switched to MRA briefly in an attempt to try to counteract the harm that third wave feminism is causing. But very soon after deciding that was a redundant and backwards way of thinking about and tackling the issue I decided to switch to becoming a Gender Egalitarian.
