Sharon took a couple steps into the apartment in wonder. In fact, half of her was afraid to touch anything, in fear it might break and Tony would have it come out of her paycheck. The other half wanted to jump around like an excited kid. This looked like an oversize hotel room that was unnecessarily large and exciting to be in. Placing her purse gently down on the coffee table in front of the couch she peeled off her black jacket revealing her white blouse and draped it along the couch’s arm before placing her hands on her black slack covered hips. She had to give it to Stark; he certainly knew how to decorate a place to fit a girl’s taste. Too bad he didn’t fit her taste for everything else. Her taste was more along the lines of… A voice rang softly into her room and she turned around, her body now facing the voice that belonged to her taste. Shrugging her shoulders softly she slipped her hands into her pockets giving him a tender smile. “It’s not the place that makes it a home…” She said softly, walking to him to close the gap between the two; her smile getting brighter as she did so. “It’s the company that you keep. And as long as I have a great neighbor I’m not going to complain.” “Of course you’ll have a great neighbor!” As if his senses were tingling, Tony Stark made his very unwanted appearance behind Steve and even with Steve being taller and a lot more built than the man, Tony somehow slipped by him and entered the room without permission. “You’ll be next to me. I mean, what more could you ask for?” His toothy grin seemed to give off the impression that he didn’t understand that in some cultures (and times) coming in without asking would be considered rude. And as far as Sharon was concerned, the only person she had given permission to enter her room without her consent is the same one still in the doorway. “In case you didn’t see...” Tony said plucking the keys from the wall hanger and holding both of them out in the palm of his hand to her. “I left you two house keys, just in case you wanted to leave one with someone for… safe keeping.” Even in his jeans and black ACDC t-shirt, a normal girl could not deny that the glowing chested man wasn’t a good looking guy. And while Sharon Carter couldn’t deny that he was a decent looking guy, she could easily say that she didn’t feel anything else towards him. Plucking one key from his hand, she slid it into her pocket. “That’s a good idea.” Before he could close his hand around the key, signaling that he was the one to receive it; she removed it from his palm and walked past him. “Captain,” She began, hating the formality of things but knowing that the show must go on. “I know this is a bit unorthodox but could you hold onto my spare key for my apartment. If I lock myself out it would be very convenient with your place being next door.” “And Miss Carter I wanted to talk to you about that date.” Tony said rather bluntly not giving Steve much of a chance to respond. “About that Mister Stark…” Sharon said quickly turning around to face him, even with the almost batting of the dark brown eyes and innocent smile from Tony, she continued onward without a moment of hesitancy. “while I appreciate you catching me from the explosion of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, I have to decline you’re offer for a date.” Tony’s face grew into an innocent pout, “But why?” “You’re not my type Mister Stark.” She said with a shrug sliding her hands into her pockets. Tony slid to her with an eerie grace as if he had done the move one too many times before, catching her right hand and pulling her to him as if he had done it one too many times before. “Aw but that’s not what you said that night.” As quickly as Tony got her hand she removed it, sliding back from him with a grace of her own; and a grace of complete denial. “I said that you were a good dancer. That does not make you ‘my type’,” She said proceeding to do air quotes with her fingers before dropping her hands to her sides. “I’m sorry that it came across as misleading but, while I appreciate all you’ve done for me, the company and the world; I just don’t see you in that light.” His reaction was classic Tony, all he could do was smile. “Well, it’s been my pleasure.” He said with a small bow to his head before starting towards the door. He stopped at the Captain looking down at the key, than back up to him, a small flicker of his eyebrow in a questioning motion before looking over his shoulder at Sharon shooting her another dashing smile, a smile that says ‘I will not take no for an answer.’, “If you ever need anything Miss Carter, you know where I’m at. Just knock.” And with that, he left the room ramming his shoulder into Steve’s, much like Steve had done nothing more than the day before.
