If you want my honest opinion I feel the planet of super awesome mechanoids that are all naturally triple changers (this is not a new concept, they're just meant to be unique, elite warriors like Springer, leader of the Wreckers) whose third mode amounts to a dinobot/terrorcon (also unique, elite groups, the dinobots moreso) seems to be done entirely so you can have your characters be different and stand out over regular cybertronians instead of, you know, playing a cybertronian in a Transformers game. It also detracts from the main conflict being about cybertronians and their planet when the GM's characters are all from some other planet, even if they're going to join the Autobots or Decepticons.
