Edward seems to think for a while before smiling and standing up. "Sure, why not?" 'If I can get out there and do something, I guess I can tolerate a partner...'. Other than his German accent, Michael notices his slightly small stature. It makes his claim about fighting a bear earlier seem a bit farfetched...
