Teo finds that the slime doesn't seem to wish to burn him, but his positivity doesn't seem to do much against that much pain and sorrow...but the orb doesn't burn away at the slime, only makes it a bit lighter grey.".....Hope." The hooded man says. "...Hope....doesn't destroy pain...it gives one the power to withstand it......Hope....doesn't destroy evil....it gives one the power to face it...hope....a weapon....only to the brave..." The hooded man says. The ooze forms a staircase up the orb, and the man walks up to it, in apperent aw."Hope.....the thing that I despise and fear, for it was hope, that damned me." He says, and with a single palm strike, turns the golden orb, a pitch dark abyssal black. Tainting it, destroying it. "I lost all hope, many years ago....when I was cast below, for the crime of being me." The man says.

((Go to the bottom for the shortened, blunt version in the {{s.))"I am the dark one. Or, a part of it. This whole field of pain, and suffering and I are the same.....All of its creatures and I are linked....Where this came from? Allow me to show you..." He says, as the ground under you all show the story that it tells.Many many years ago, the planet which now laid ruined was once just like earth, it had its flaws, but it also had its highlights. A extremely, if not overly normal world to the tee. People were raped, murdered, slaughtered in wars and all of that.....while there was love, creation, and union. But then one day, a profit was born. This profit was the son of a long dead god, who had felt pain and suffering. Known as the Dragon, or the Hul-drac profit, this man showed the planet how to filter out the evil and grime, and flush it away just like dung down a toilet's pipes. This came at a cost. Such grime couldn't be held down so easily, so those more in tune with it were cast down into the man made underworld to absorb the pain and suffering, at the cost of their lives. "This is how the world was...a murder fueled paradise. A utopia....a perfect world....until this day." The man says, the perspective changing to that of a twin, this one being bubbly, happy, as if they were concentrated happiness and love. The other, a typical gothic kid, but they were still filled with happiness and life, their looks betraying nothing of their real inner feelings....then the yearly choosing took place, and the gothic teen was chosen to be cast into the pit. The other, not wanting their sister, and best friend to die, swapped appearances with them when they came to take her away, leaving this poor kid to face unimaginable pain and suffering...but something was different. When this child was thrown into the sludge, he found a whole different world in the slime. A large creature, filled with agony and turmoil..looking, for pity. Looking for something that didn't try to fight it, to hurt it, like so many thrown into the well of darkness had. After many years at being a sort of companion to this land of pain and suffering, this child died, and their remains were infused with the pain and suffering, birthing the man before you."It was their hope that I was thrown into this pit...it was their hope for a better world that lead to so much pain and suffering..." The man retorts, now rather...sad.{{ Baiscally, the world sent people they thought to be more in sync with darkness in anyway into a deep sea of all things bad, as so it wouldn't well up into the world and destroy them. One really nice twin switched places with their sibling, being cast in instead, only to befriend the large living glob, and then die, creating the robed dude. He sees this as their hopes that their sacrifices are making the world better the cause of the world ending.}}
so much pain,so much sorrow "NO ,I CAN'T GO DOWN LIKE THIS" I need to find a way to destroy it,but how? if only I could trick it into eating my soul,then I could destroy it from the inside ,and hopefully save the others who have been devoured
