Well, in WoW there's this race of insectoid creatures called sithilid (or something like that), and that seemed to be the popular thing to use for the creepy egg laying stuff, and I'm pretty sure that's what was going on in the thing I stumbled onto. I'm sure they also did it with generic tentacle monsters as well, just because I've seen multiple drawings of such due to the internet being a magical place full of discovery and disgust. Also, as I understand it, ovipositioning is laying eggs inside a person, not just random egg laying, so... Good times?

If I played LOTRO and RPed in it, I'd be Gimli's boyfriend. :hehe
