Uncharted Space: The Etherals The Explorer, who was swarming with the unknown objects, again conversed with the the Varren battlecruiser, discussing what these things were, and why they were screeching at the decoy bridge. The Valkians were most definitely NOT stupid; in fact, many of the Engineers in the ship were quite obviously angered, screaming in what would be about as loud as a human speaking sharply, and calling for the blood of the creature things that think their skills so mediocre that they would put the bridge next to the open vacuum of space. The bridge was, in fact, in the forward section of the ship, away from the lesser armored rear, with the engine room and utility rooms. With the urging of the Varren ship commander and the many, many Engineers on board, the Explorer's ship commander made a decision. He relayed his orders, and shortly afterward, someone will get really pissed. All the weapons ready to fire all around the ship did several things. First, the particle cannon lashed out at the approaching ship, which had made no contact except to send strange, deadly-looking swarms to surround the Explorer. Right before the Explorer's particle cannons began scissoring the now-an-enemy ship, the four large Swarmer missile turrets let loose their entire salvo, and quickly ducked into their alcoves to protect themselves and reload. The resulting swarm of missiles would outnumber the swarm of Sisters at more than 4 to 1. A mix of penetrating and high explosive missiles burst from their silos, breaking away as they each automatically linked with their many brethren and picked different targets. The closest Sisters would stand no chance; it was doubtful that they would be expected so sudden an attack. ((Now, I am saying that I only destroyed the VERY CLOSEST. I am not going to auto-kill, I am going to obey the real rules and let the person I am ATTACKING decide damages, hoping that they will be realistic and fair. Now note that a salvo has the ability to tear deeply into a light destroyer or frigate, since they never expected to be fighting swarms of little things. Each of those missiles are like little mini super-Javelins.))
