Name: Vincent Craft Nickname: Vinny Species: Human Age: 27 Gender: Male Appearance: Short clean cut brown hair, brown eyes, and slightly pale skin. Commonly wears a coat over his usual garb and prefers wearing a fedora whenever he is out working. Occupation: Detective/ Investigator ((For internal colonial affairs.)) Tools/weapons: Every true detective needs a way to record and process any and all information that they might gather, and for just the task, Vinny prefers nothing more than a good old fashioned notebook and pen. For threatening criminals, or for personal protection, the detective enjoys using a rather standard .45 handgun. Its served him well over his years of service. Other than that he carries about three magazines of ammo with him in his coat, and a pair of handcuffs. Skills: Not much gets past Vinny. Trying to lie to Vinny is rather similar to setting a ship to self destruct while trying to turn on the engines; you aren't going to get anywhere, except in a spot where even more trouble is waiting for you. You see, Vinny has both the eyes and ears for detail, and he puts that to use during his investigations. He's no soldier, but he practices his handgun skills every few days just in case such a situation requiring him to be armed arises. Bio: Life early on for Vincent was nothing too special. His father was an Engineer and his mother worked as a member of security. He was usually left by himself since his parents were more often than not out working around the colony, so he would spend most of his time talking with friends or reading old mystery novels. When he was seventeen, his mother was critically wounded by a gunshot from behind. Luckily medical teams were able to save his mother, but she was forced to retire early due to such a terrible injury. The gunman however was never discovered, or presumably never arrested on the account of assaulting an officer. Before that point, Vincent was unsure what to do with the rest of his life, but after his mother nearly died, he considered signing up with security as a local investigator. Personally he prefers the title 'Detective' and will usually introduce himself as such, "Detective Craft". After looking into a handful of cases, and aiding security in finding criminals, he knew this was the job for him. He has however had his clashes with security on the rare occasion. Some say he has a habit of stepping over his boundaries for not being an official security officer. Vincent however ignored such remarks about his work, and continued doing this his way. After all, his method may stir up some trouble on the odd chance, but they've been rather effective. Colonists have mixed feelings about the detective, but for most they may have only heard the name Detective Craft mentioned once or twice in the news. Whatever they might think though, Vincent has always seen detectives as people who are usually out trying to do some good in the world. Well, that's at least how the books make them out to be, and he can't argue with that.
