I'd like to add that you can only control fire you make yourself. No lava or another person's jutsu. Like say if someone used fireball jutsu or someone had Amaterasu you wouldn't be able to control those. Because in order to mold and control fire you'd need to use your own chakra and you can just take full on control of another person's chakra to my understanding.

Sorry if I'm restricting too much. But naruto world and avatar world don't really mix too well.
