Aileen O'Reilly It was rather disappointing that they didn’t find anything special or secret other than some pool stick. She wasn’t sure what they were called. Yuyu offered to clean up the mess he’d done looking through their roommates stuff, but Aileen just shook her head. “Nah, we’ll say it was hard to see in the dark, got confused and all that.” Aileen opened the door. “I guess there’s no use sitting here alone in the dark. We’ll find someone else to prank or find out why the school doesn’t even have a backup generator. Let’s go.” She picked up Yuyu and put him on her shoulders. They’d move faster that way, as he wouldn’t rush into every wall or door. Aileen closed the door after her again, and headed towards the cafeteria after checking if anyone was around somewhere else. She didn’t meet anyone and figured it would be best to head for an area that people were likelier to gather in. Once there she threw open the door, emitted a very short burst of light to see if anyone was in the room and smiled when she saw movements. There were plenty of noises and some weird smell to accompany whatever they were doing. Aileen wasn't sure what exactly she'd just seen, and maybe she was better off not knowing than turning on the light for longer. She didn't recognize any voice straight. so no one she knew well, but what better time to make friends than in the cover of darkness? The light faded quickly again. “We found some of the bastards, Yuyu.” She said loudly with her Irish accent to the plant riding her shoulders. He replied with a whistling noise. “Well, I guess they’re hiding in the dark for some reason or other. How should I know?” Yuyu made a few more noises as if talking with Aileen, like they could understand each other. The only reason she could understand the gist of what he tried to communicate was their long history together. Another plant would be close to impossible to understand. “Yeah, yeah…” Aileen went for her usual seat in the cafeteria, and sat down. She wondered if they’d been told to gather here by the teachers, or if they’d just decided to do so anyway. A glass of water would be nice, but finding one without breaking anything could be difficult in this darkness. She didn’t want to waste her energy on too trivial tasks since she didn’t know the next time it would be sunny outside. “So, did they say anything about when the power might be back?” Aileen asked, again with a rather loud voice, and addressing the whole room.
