Gaming has been doing pretty poorly as far as triple A studios are concerned.

Telltale, Rockstar and Bethesda being a few exceptions.
A lot more of gaming now is looking towards Indie developers, that's where you gotta be looking for most good games.

And it's also probably why consoles (Other than Nintendo) are just doing worse and worse while PC seems basically unaffected.
