S'up. Boss level character dropping in if that's fine with the GM. His weapon is about as heavy as its size would suggest, but he manages to wield it with little trouble. Background & Personality Not a public figure, Markus is nonetheless well known in his particular field of expertise. A sword for hire, he seems to care less about money and more for the opportunity to fight a good fight. While not expensive to hire, the hard part of employing him is actually catching his interest. That factor plus his strength means, more often than not, he’s hired when conflict with Dragons are expected. How exactly he got so strong isn’t exactly known, but the general consensus is that he’s able to fight off most Adult Dragons and can work defensively against some Grand figures. His weapon seems to be able to devour or nullify a Dragon’s magic on contact, while his own magic is focused on amplifying his own physical capabilities. His modus operandus is move fast and hit hard, and he’s taken Dragons down before they've realized that, yes, this “human” will mess them up. He’s a relatively easily going fellow though, even in the midst of combat or fighting for his life. In fact, he seems happiest when clashing against a strong opponent, often laughing joyously and wearing a smile. Despite his many trophies, he’s rarely actually killed any of the Dragons he’s fought. Most of the time he simply takes a piece as proof that he did manage to subdue them, be it part of their horn or the like. Generally, the other party is too weakened when he does so to fight back or resist. Ocassionally the act of doing so has caused the opposing Dragon to fly into a rage and Markus has resorted to putting them down. He doesn’t particularly enjoy killing other sentient creatures, but will do so as it is part of the job description; he simply avoids doing so if possible. Plot Idea: Powerful mercenary “working” for the Hunters as extra security as there’s bound to be a good fight when the rescue comes along.
