Lucas stands at very slightly under 6ft and is of medium build. He is in good physical condition (above average for his age). He has not aged well and his dark messy brushed back hair now adorns streaks of grey. He has a full, but neat, beard. He also has a scar on his left temple that reaches his eye. [/centre]

[b]Personality:[/b] Years of being a detective ingrained within Lucas a deep sense of suspicion and inquisitiveness. He takes nothing at face value and always seeks to see things from a variety of different perspectives. He suffers from visions of dark figures, particularly in the corners of his eyes; he is unsure whether this is from the burden or simply a result of psychological trauma. He doesn’t let the visions bother him anymore, and hasn’t seemed to be any more or less likely to have violent outbursts than anyone else. He is the kind of man who will stand up for what he believes in, always choosing the right way over the easy way. He also has very liberal beliefs that have been repeatedly strained due to the actions of DERB. 

[b]Synopsis:[/b] Lucas studied Criminology at Legus University before joining the police. A combination of his acquired knowledge and natural fit for the job caused him to quickly rise through the ranks and obtain the role of a detective. Lucas was also one of the lucky guys that managed to marry his high school sweetheart, Charlotte. Charlotte was a couple of months pregnant and visiting family abroad in Aldes when the Hailstorm came. 

Despite wanting desperately to find Charlotte, Lucas did his duty and tried to keep the law when the riots started. It was a dark time and he witnessed many things that would be forever etched in his soul. Lucas was leading a riot unit when they started to evacuate. He and his squad managed to escort a few survivors to a DERB outpost and most have stayed there ever since. 

Over time Lucas gained a reputation for being a good and reliable man that people could ask for advice. He often sits in on important meetings, but as the years have trickled by he has developed more and more friction with DERB leaders because of his liberal views. Though he regularly went on missions immediately post hail, he rarely leaves outposts save to travel to another. He has not been near a hailstone site since he left Legus, though he would very much like the opportunity to lead an expedition in order to study one. 

[b]Strengths:[/b] Very inquisitive. Good at investigating. Good in a high-pressure situation. Can fight fairly well. Can shoot a gun reasonably well. Is well educated (especially by post-hail standards). 

[b]Vices/Weaknesses:[/b] Cannot swim. Still plagued by visions. Little to no technical or engineering knowledge. Some might say he’s too suspicious. Not much charisma. His stamina suffers because of his age. Crap at crafting, sewing, etc.
