Name: Hurrian Goal: Defensive mostly. If someone manages to find the end of his patience and “bring forht the storm” as it were his drive and fury can be a terrifying thing to behold and his will almost unstoppable from anything short of death. Domain: Storms, Wind, Duty, Discipline, Law, Obedience, Titles: The Storm Lord, The reluctant Warrior, Thunder of the Heavens, Harbinger of Retribution, Bringer of Law, Arbiter of the Heavens

Hurrian, like most gods has an almost overwhelming presence and visage. Tall, Very tall. He dwarfs raptorans in the same way they dwarf their human compatriats. Standing easily over 7 feet in height he has a much more slender body than one would expect from an avatar of law and storms. More akin to the shape of a half or full elf than a full human. Trim and althetic his form is bulkier than the Raptoran but not a bear of a man by any means. Still those who may look at this feature and scoff would quickly find themselves Run through, scorched or simply cast aside with a flick of his wrist. He has a thing and gaunt face, coupled with his massive wings and clawed feet this gives him a further Avian appearance. He is rarely without some form of armour on and while that may not be his full battleplate at all times he is usually at least wearing a suit of supple and blessed leather, cut and tanned from the hides of beasts long since passed from this world before being bestowed with the blessings and enchantments as befitting a raiment of a god. Studded and riveted for further protection while still remaining light for ease of movement on the wing. His hands and feet are taloned and scaled like that of a bird of prey. Though his hands still have a very humanoid resemblance to them, his feet are entirely different. Shaped and clawed more for perching than walking (or rending and killing) though he is easily capable of the former. His eyes are another striking feature. As blue as the sapphire skies that blanket his lands they are capable of Piercing gazes and cold, uncompromising zeal. And when roused those deep and inviting blue hues turn grey and seem to flash with streaks of white as if heralding the fury to come.

Powers: Command over storms, as small as a Rain cloud or as massive as the most destructive of hurricanes when properly roused. In particular Thunder and lightning dance from his finger tips and his command over such elements are second to none. However frigid winds, rain, snow and hail are also popular and undeniably effective in the right situations. Obviously the more powerful the storm the more draining the effect. Gale winds and tornado's may be relatively simple to control and summon but the most destructive storms are only saved for the most dire of occasions as they can be just as dangerous to him and his people as anyone else. Physical Superiority- Hurrian is a warrior god though his titles often name him the 'Reluctant warrior' As such he holds the body and skills of a warrior. Strength, Endurance, Reflexes, etc. Though were as some prefer to throw themselves into the midst of a battle Hurrian prefers to fight defensively. Wearing his opponents down and letting superior strategy and planning win the day over simple bloodlust or numbers. Law and Order- The Storm Lord Hurrian may utter a single command at an enemy. Pouring forth his unwavering resolve and unyielding aura of presence and authority. The creature affected is utterly compelled and dominated mentally to obey the commands of Hurrian, whatever they may be. Obviously the more powerful and resolute the mind the more effort this can take. Avatars and rival gods themselves will find themselves immune, Priests and clergy of rival gods will be difficult but not entirely impossible given time and patience, but common men of weak will or unsure faith will find it nearly impossible to resist. Flight- The mighty wings that rest upon the Back of Hurrian give him the ability of flight. Each wing is easily as long as he is tall when stretched fully and feathered with perfect and unblemished white feathers. Each beat of the wings can propell him with great speed and percision through the currents and other obstacles of the skies. He can also used them to beat and rile the winds into increasing speed and force. Often forming small-large tornados which he can then guide to wreak havoc as he pleases amongst those that dare wander uninvited into his domain. Or simply sweep whoever is in front of him off their feet. Artifacts StormTalon- The long Sword of Lord Hurrian. Blessed with the powers of his own righteous thunder and can hit with the fury and force of the winds themselves. Sometimes those generals who prove themselves worthy may touch and receive blessings from StormTalon, a small sliver of it's power to aid in coming battles. Gavel of the Lawbringer- While many outsiders may believe it is The sword of Hurrian that commands the respect of the court it is the hand that wields the blade that truly dispense justice, regardless of the tool people think is being used. The Gauntlet of Hurrian is the very symbol of his Iron fisted rule and the Steeled discipline he commands, if not demands of his subjects. Judges and Lawkeepers across his lands wear a similar Gauntlet. Thick and heavy they command the attention of a room when struck against the stone slabs near the judges bench or simply crack the heads of unruly and dangerous criminals. Warriors can also be found wearing thickened and immaculately forged gauntlets, sometimes adorned with spikes or blades or both. In rare cases the most devout will dispense with conventional weapons entirely and simply take to the field with fist and shield. Or the really devout (and probably crazy) don't even bother with the shield.

Heavily mountainous. The Southern Range known as the “Wall of the gods” which all but throws up a complete barrier between the Rocky and seemingly desolate Landscape of the Raptoran, before letting way to the immense and equally harsh deserts of the south. A few passes remain for travelers but they are carefully watched and eyed critically. It is here, in these mountain regions where Hurrian and his followers command respect and obedience. Most of his humanoid followers are either Humans who have settled these lands and learn the ways of the winds and unforgiving law underneath the Raptorans or “Skyborn”, A lithe but hardy humanoid people who live up high in the mountain peaks and Eyries of the Wall. Who remain by far the most populous and devout of Hurrian's followers. Though the humans numbers have grown in recent years and the Raptoran priests and Arbiters seemed pleased with the level of piety and devotion they see amongst them. His personal Capital and Fortress is StormHaven. A large Eyrie that sits nestles atop and within the largest mountain of the world. Bordering the point between The mortal world below and the heavens above. A level of existence where creatures of the air reign supreme and the weather can change in an instant from perfectly calm to unbearable. It is here that Lord Hurrian spends most of his time and watched over his domain through the aid of Magic and his own abilities. Unaccesible to those without the power of flight or the means to aquire it. And high enough that even the raptorans and griffons must struggle through the thin air and fierce currents to reach a perch. Often Lord Hurrian may ease the path for those who he deems worthy, moving aside currents or redirecting them to aid in flight. But if you are not wanted in Hurrians realm than Nothing is going to let you in. Hurricane's will rise, Hail will pelt you into submission and snows will blind your way until you simply crash into a mountain side or lose strength and plummet to the earth. But those that can make it find themselves in a massive halls and domed rooms. Ones lined with tomes detailing every law and custom set down by both hurrian and his followers. Personal Eyries that house all manner of avian creatures, tamed an loyal to their god. An armoury for the outfitting of himself and his personal servants and guardians. And many other wonders one would expect in the home of a god. it is also believed by his followers to be the plane of existence they go to when dead. That their souls will travel up to join those already in the clouds and that storms are simply the faithful still exerting the vengeance of their god around the world. Which is why Hurrian has such an easy control over the winds and thunder. They are simply the souls of his faithful answering their masters call once again. The wind is sacred to the people of the wall. They believe a gentle breeze on a hot day might just be a past loved one caressing you in the only way they can manage. or that a Hurricane not brought on by Hurrian means the dead are angry at the living for some reason. Either a lack of piety or just anger at the path society is leading down. But his kingdom has many intelligent creatures that call it home. Some are rarer like the wind sprites and fairies that keep to themselves. The Proud and arrogant _____ who consider themselves a “Pure breed” and above the other races of the wall. They look upon themselves as perfect of form and the most devout of Hurrian's servants by virtue of race alone. While the small and diminutive races like Kenku are viewed as the exact opposite. But by far the two most populous races within his domains are the Humans and the Raptorans. There are of course the Venurable Griffons, Loyal hippogriff and Proud pegausi. That are intelligent enough to understand what is being spoken to them with remarkable ease though are still animalistic, though still regal in nature. To own a one of these creatures is impossible. They are far to proud to reduce themselves to such a status. But if they feel a man has honour, or potential they can become friends. Even allow themselves to be ridden, provided they prove themselves of adequate skill first of course. There are many more races of the wind and sky to mention, The twisted but alluring harpies, Fierce Arrowhawks, And massive winged lizards are all some of many that call the Mountain ranges of the South home. Some are fantastic, some are mundane and others are just a sight to see. Even the Demonic Furies that are occaisionally found in this world are rumoured by the Raptorans to be a by product of Hurrians younger and less controlled youth. Whether he refuses to comment because he believes it ridiculous or it stings with the shame of truth is unclear.

Worship of Hurrian can be rather complicated to an outsider. While many common folk venerate Hurrian as a whole the church itself is split into 'sub cults' which choose to focus on specific aspects of the Storm lord. There are the Arbiters who focus on his aspect of law, policing his lands and acting as judges in the courts. Hurrianic rule is Swift and absolute, Decisions are weighed carefully and examined from a dozen different angles to ensure a proper verdict but that verdict is final. There is little mercy for the guilty in these lands and all crime is punished to an almost draconian extent. The aspect of storms is a highly militarized segment of the church, and very aggressive. often heading the faction of the military known as the Exemplar's. The force who often strike out against rivals and supposed enemies. Act as spies and scouts where needed and bring down the Fury of the Storm lord to those who think themselves safe outside his domain. The aspect of duty and obedience is a more tempered mindset. Still rigidly disciplined and militeristic they often lead the 'templars' The homeguard of the army. Those that focus of protection of the borders. Manning fortresses, augmenting the Arbiters when needed. and over all keeping an ever vigiliant gaze over all angles of Hurrians borders. The aspect of wind is confusing to most outsiders. Many would think this would fall under the domain of storms but to those within Hurrianic society it is radically different. The aspect of storms is what most citizens would fall into if categorized by the church. It is fluid, like the wind some people are but whispers and breezes, fulfilling smaller duties and lives within the cities. Contritbuting their small bit to the larger gale wind that is the people's will. To the church the aspect of wind is to watch over the everyday life of the people. not to police or to war but to make sure things run smoothly and aid is organized where needed. They also act as pseudo diplomats to the creatures of the skies. Particularly griffons as these are often the most easily offended and proud. Keeping contact with the harpies and the beasts most would ignore or just kill of came across. Enlisting their aid when needed. http://biggreenpepper.deviantart.com/art/dota2-Skywrath-Mage-461395937 (raptoran) http://tgchan.org/kusaba/tg/src/127949203920.jpg (Raptoran) http://www.canonfire.com/wiki/index.php?title=Kenku (kenku) http://devburmak.deviantart.com/art/Merisiel-riding-a-griffon-299272961 (Griffon) http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20110728010838/forgottenrealms/images/5/5c/Hippogriff.jpg (hippogriff
