I don't think the car would be the problem, because you can basically make a car out of anything. Even a dinosaur! Granted, it'd be a bit...ironic to create a fossil-fueled fossil-mobile, but it's possible. No, your character's problem would be purchasing fuel, because it is [b]expensive[/b]. And I don't even drive.
