"Alright, here we go!" Kido positioned his shield and lance as best as he could and somehow got the horse to start charging. It must have done something of the sort before, though, because he truthfully wasn't sure how he managed it. As the figure of the other boy on his horse approached, he could feel his heartbeat become more tangible with every second. Even though it was a normally quite powerful rhythm, it always became stronger in high-energy situations, so he'd have to be careful with it.
