Name: Yuzuki Race: Elf Age: 20 years. Quite young for an elf to be wondering around on their own. She still has quite a bit about the world to learn. Appearance: If you ask how she walks in those shoes, you will simply be met with a quizzical stare and a 'I don't understand the question.' reply. She has a slender frame, and pale skin that is easily sunburned. Personality: At first glance, Yuzuki would appear to be an elegant and somewhat refined woman. Most people tend to give her a bit of space because of this, much to her dismay, though she doesn't let it bother her. The reality is, she's lazy, socially awkward elf that has a thing for anything shiny objects and doesn't eat anything but meat and drinks a bit too much. Seriously, getting her to eat anything remotely vegetable like is like getting a dragon to go to the dentist to have a tooth pulled. It ain't happening without someone losing a limb. Shes friendly, to most, or at least tries to be. She can be a bit hot-headed and sometimes gets carried away in a fight and usually attacks first and ask questions later. Still, she's quick to forgive and forget, often forgetting why she was even angry with someone/something within the next few minutes. However, she does have quite a bit of hate towards the monsters, as she believes they killed the Elder, her adoptive father even without much proof. She kills any she sees indiscriminately, and could be the only one thing in the world she actually hates. Other than vegetables. Skills/Abilities: Despite her delicate looks, she is one elf you do not want to piss off. Unlike most elves that are skilled with their silly little magic, or flimsy bows, Yuzu is skilled in martial arts and manipulation of Chi. The elf would easily be able to overpower any one not sufficiently strong enough despite her slender looks. It's said that one of the monks she trained under once gave a dragon a single punch, causing it to almost explode from the energy that the monk had struck it with. By manipulating Chi, she can easily fortify her body against blows that would leave a normal man gasping for breath, and hit hard enough to destroy a wall with a single punch. Of course, she doesn't have to use Chi to fortify her defensive abilities in battle much, as she prefers to not get hit at all and has the agility to back that up. Quick on her feet, she has impeccable balance and agility, able to outmaneuver and out speed quite a few foes, delivering devastating blows at high speeds. Unfortunately, her defensive abilities are quite lacking once she tires herself out, and she could easily be overpowered in one hit should her Chi fail her. Another of her newer abilities is the ability to allow her to focus her Chi in the palm of her hand, sending a small wave of energy towards a target. While not very damaging for now, it gives her the ability to fight from a distance a bit. She could theoretically also manipulate this energy to form a small shield around her, should she need to. Of course, her response to any thrown projectile is normally just to smash it. Equipment: Yuzu doesn't carry anything on her, aside from the clothes on her back and whatever money she can carry with her. Her clothes were a gift from the Elder at the Monastery where she was raised, shortly before he disappeared. Supposedly, they help one to focus their Chi but she hasn't tested the theory that much. She doesn't care about things like that all that much. Brief Backstory: Yuzuki was found abandoned as a baby at the steps of a monastery where old monks went to retire and spend the rest of their days either in quiet contemplation or study. Not really knowing who dropped her off there in the middle of the night, and whoever had was long gone, the Elder decided to take her in and raise her himself. He was a kind old man, who raised her as well as he could. Unfortunately, the Monastery was quite isolated and cut off from much of the rest of the world, making for forming friends and socializing with anyone other than the old monks quite difficult, aside from the occasional trader that passed through. Still, she enjoyed the rather easy life there. The monks even taught her how to manipulate her own Chi for fighting purposes along with various styles of martial arts. Such an easy life didn't last, it seemed. One night the Elder called her to his room, and gave her the robes she currently wears, claiming that they once belonged to his wife, who had been killed by some monsters in a den some miles away from the Monastery a few years before they found her. The robes fit her perfectly, and she thanked him, not thinking much of it until the day after. The Elder had disappeared the next day. She convinced herself that he had gone to the den, alone, to do...something. The other monks tried to tell her otherwise, but she was convinced of this fact, and when a group of adventurers, or Hunters, as they called themselves, passed by the monastery, she told them of the den and convinced them to take her with them. After clearing the den, seeing that the young elf had more than a bit of talent at her disposal, the leader of the group said that she should become one too. The world could always use another hunter or two.
