[i]In her human form (as she is normally seen), Kai is oddly elegant. With a slender body, long neck, angular face, and sharp features, she could be considered beautiful, though her constant, wicked smile can easily ruin her complexion. She has long black hair, which is often brought up in an array of different buns and ponytails, and her eyes are black with golden irises and pupils, revealing her demon-nature. She is pale, easily tanned, and flat-chested, though that doesn't stop her from showing off her body. Though she gets good business with her bar tending, Kai can rarely be seen wearing anything nice, and often just wanders around with a bikini top and her white hakama. As per usual with most Tengu, Kai is a trickster. She gets a kick out of pranking and annoying the people around her, and if she isn't working she can probably be found bothering some random stranger on the block. Other then that, she is quite easily bored, often finding even the most mundane daily activity to be excruciatingly annoying to be in. She hates to stand still, and can very anxious when restrained or stuck in a certain situation. When in a fight, she is focused and ready to kill, all mercy and mischievousness lost in her need for money, and due to her one-track mind she can be rather forgetful of who is her friend and who is her foe. Around friends she can be cheerful and kind, if not a bit bitchy, and is rather protective of those she cares for. If she feels that something is threatening one of her closer mates, she would not hesitate to take care of the issue, and her lack of mercy might be the reason she lacks friends actually...

Kai is far from mature. In fact, she is down right childish for her age. She gets cranky when things don't go her way, and can easily become a temper tantrum-throwing baby if she gets too upset. Though her tall, elegant appearance might make people believe she is some sort of intelligent woman, it is far from the truth. When not being an utter child, she can be rather calm, often hanging around her bar with a lazy look on her face and a beer in hand. Thats's another thing, she loves to drink. When she isn't working or dicking around in the garage, she's drinking, and though it takes awhile for her to get unstably drunk, it defiantly worth the wait. She'll stumble around with tears in her eyes, letting out woeful poems and sad songs about her past and how sorry she is for being so mean to everyone. Akira is the sappy drunk, and once you set her off she won't stop until she's fast asleep, headfirst on a stool.

Other then that, Kai is extremely competitive and stubborn, and refuses to take no for an answer. She would never hold back against anyone, though she does have a softer spot for children and animals. Her love for spicy things is rather odd, and she absolutely hates cold weather. Somewhat of an idiot as well, Kai is awful at most puzzles and absolutely hates to read and write. In front of customers at her shop she can appear to be sweet and charismatic, leaving most ot believe she is a very good actress/liar. And finally, her bark might be just a tiny bit bigger than her bite (which is still pretty big). 

[u][b]Skills/Abilities:[/b][/u]
Being a Tengu, Kai has the enhanced physiology of a demon, and is able to run faster, jump higher, and punch harder then most normal humans. Thanks to her crow form, she has a much light bone structure and is able to glide and retract claws when necessary in her human form, while she is able to fly in her actual form (which she will rarely turn in to, mostly because it hurts to shift between the two forms). Other than that, she is a skilled martial artist, and is quite the master sword wielder. Her weapon of choice is a steel-blade, magic-figure engraved katana which is normally seen dangling from her side. The weapon glows when in use against supernatural opponents, and is rumored to be cursed and bound to whomever uses it. 

She is also a skilled shamsien player and motorcyclist. 

[u][b]Equipment:[/b][/u]
Muramasa: Kai's cursed blase. The edges of the weapon are engraved with magic symbols that only those skilled in the arcane art might be able to decipher the spell which binds the magic and the weapon and the Tengu together. The blade is silver in color, and the sheathe is a collection of leathers and clothes and wraps. It can slice through flesh with ease, and glows when against monsters and supernatural beings, which are definitely harder to banish. Somewhat useless against armor.

Motorcycle: Lovingly named Otto by Kai, the bike is large and black in color. Kai bought it at least a year after she was hired by the bar and is very obsessed with keeping it in it's most pristine condition. It can often be heard rumbling through the streets on sunny days or bleak, stormy, work nights.

Owns other basic items like a cell, her wallet, and a backup pocket knife for the worst-case-scenarios. Lacks proper armor and body protection, though she might invest in protective runes to make up for her lack of defense.

[u][b]Brief Backstory:[/b][/u]
As legend goes, Tengu normally reside on mountain tops, surrounded by vast forests and air. Most of their land is covered by temples and houses, where the Tengu go to practice their fighting skills and learn of their magical abilities. Kai was one of these young tengu, though she found the constant schedule a bore. She spent ten years atop her family's mountain, not listening to any of her lessons and often skipping class until she finally became a trouble making child. She would bother her fellow Tengu, steal from the otherworldly shops, and her little crimes continued until she was finally cast out of the society.

After descending the mountain, Kai became a street urchin in a nearby, coastal town. She had easily discovered her ability to transform her shape, and had decided on taking the form of a young human girl. She then proceeded to sneak around aimlessly, stealing to stay alive, sleeping under bridges, until the day she turned 'sixteen'. It was then that the owner of a local bar asked if she wanted a job, and Akira blindly said yes. She was then put to hard work, scrubbing, mixing, and cleaning the entire estblishment by hand while her boss sat back with a twisted grin. Kai was the only worker, meaning she was in charge of nearly everything to keep the shop nice and presentable while her boss got drunk behind the bar.

It wasn't a bad job, though. The pay was good and she was able to talk to and play around with some of the customers if they were interested. Her past on the mountain was easily forgotten each day she worked at the bar, and she honestly couldn't be happier.
