The amber-eyed boy noticed Dante's sudden movement and kept running. If he got too close to where Liz was going, he would have to get the ball. With that in mind, he started moving closer to the girl so she could hand it off before Dante could take it. Before he got too close, though, he saw the girl trip. Eyes going quickly to the ball, he ran to pick it up, figuring that Liz would probably be fine. It wasn't as if tripping and falling wasn't a common thing for people to do, right?
