The three men in black paramilitary gear swearing to Icon that they were attacked, and that the girl had killed one of their own. Even as they told him their tale, Icon tuned them out, focusing his attention on the large man who lay sprawled upon the floor. He looked at the man, and listened. His enhanced hearing picked something up, a heartbeat. The large man was stunned, that much was certain; however he appeared to be in no mortal danger. He knew that the men in black had lied to him about the girl murdering one of their own, and that mere fact gave him little reason to believe that the pair had attacked them at all. In fact, he was pretty certain that just the opposite was true. However, there were more pressing matters to attend to. The fire that raged within the warehouse continued to grow, and if he did not get them out, it would matter very little who was telling the truth. He quickly looked around the warehouse, and much to his relief found that the path to the front door was clear of the flames. He pointed to the door and began to bark out orders. ”Get to those doors, now.” Icon demanded, and much to his relief none of them had offered any resistance. Though the men in black seemed hesitant, they did as they were told, as did the two meta-human teens, who kept their distance from the men in black. Once everyone had begun to move, Icon wasted little time. He faced the wall of flames that was beginning to spread throughout the warehouse, raised his arms and began to move them in a tight circular rotation, increasing the rate at which he moved his arms exponentially. Before the others could blink, Icon had produced a mini cyclone within the confines of the warehouse, extinguishing the flames, even before the others had made it to the doorway. With the flames extinguished, Icon turned to the others who looked on as he elevated him nearly half a foot off the floor and drifted over to where they stood, aside from the large man in black who was still stunned from whatever the girl had done to him. ”Now, why don’t you tell me exactly what happened.” Icon said, turning to the man in black who had initially addressed him.
