Uncharted world

The parasite watched their approach slowly, examining them with a mixture of curiosity and annoyance. Scans did not show organic beings within detectable range, this was somewhat off putting. It was easier to absorb organic constructs, just toss a spore form their way... Other constructs would require specialisation, more time, more effort...
With a small amount of luck, the scans might be incorrect or returning false data, this was their first use against the new prey. Either way, the parasite would attempt to ambush it. Forms moved throughout the tunnels, dashing to their positions as thhe mind commanded them

The structures doors remained locked tight for now, the L'Er being careful not to break their guise... Though the energy fluctuation unnerved the Mind, was it possible the prey had detected them? There had been no attempt to communicate... Would they take the bait.

Waiting was all that could really be done to see. The Mind watched the approaching constructs. It continued to cycle the SOS message, but as the constructs drew closer it began to doubt the chances of its plot working.
