Despite the fact that the plane was heading back to the academy, Connor didn't just head back straight there. Instead, he hung back, following the plane, hopefully far enough away that Magneto could use his abilities to control Connor, given that his suit was metal. If magneto was even on the plane. Or even conscious, given the fact that it was returning.... Was this all just a ploy? What was he meant to do? He hadn't felt so lost in...months. Since coming to the academy. He didn't know where to go from here, where to even begin to think what the future held. No. He was just following a plane, having thought he could have been the big hero. Was that even what he wanted? Connor wasn't too sure. Then where did that leave him? What was he meant to do? He had always done what was expected of him, but here, he had no idea what was expect of him. Or even if he wanted to follow the expectations. Maybe if he hadn't come to the academy.... But that in itself was a terrifying thought. Not have gone to the academy? To have made friends who were simply friends with him, and not the fame of being a stark? To...even if...kijani. Laughing. So enthused with the flame resistant paper. Standing up for them in the cafeteria. The dance. All of it, so fresh in his mind, so easy to recall...no. He would take this confusion a thousand times over, and a thousand more, simply to have gone to the academy. So what did that mean? That he had a lot to think about. As the plane made its way to the school, so did Connor. When it was near, he angled downwards, landing smoothly near the gym. It didn't take him long to find his father, Barry Allen, and Clark Kent. As he was walking towards them, the headmaster joined the three. Connor hesitated, for the briefest second, before continuing, removing his mask. "The plane is returning" he said, "I'm unsure if the situation on the plane, but so no evidence that Magneto was stopping the change of course, so whether or not he is on the plane is debatable. I realized on the way back that it was probably foolish going after someone who could manipulate my own suit. I guess I was just hoping for a chance to give those taken a chance to escape." He shrugged lightly, looking back to the gym, wanting more then anything to not be here. Doing this. If he could have put his hands on his pockets, he would have. He looked over his shoulder at the sound of running footsteps, and a shout of "Mr Clark!" seeing Phoebe, who seemed to falter like he had, and then a smile bloomed over her face, and a look of relief was evident. She skidded to a stop beside him, "the plane, my plant monster tells me it's coming back! Kat took the plane back! I wish I had more, but once nicholas returned, it only stayed a few more minutes before disappearing, probably hiding in a nook somewhere." She looked to the headmaster and smiled, "I'm glad you returned safetly, I should get back to the gym. The wall seems a bit unstable. I think with Katherin, we can create a stable Structure to hold it up" and then she was gone, running back the way she had come. "Wait, Phoebe!" Wayne said, and Phoebe merely waved, not looking back. Connor was slightly perplexed at this. Clark Kent chuckled and said, "did you really expect her to come back when you called Bruce? She's your daughter after all. Besides, there's Magneto to deal with" The headmaster sighed, and Connor frowned. Then shook his head, watching as they started off, clearly looking for where the plane would land. Connor saw other teachers in amongst the students, and figured they were all back. He squared his shoulders, and followed the small group to the plane. ---- Phoebe darted back to the gym, after hurriedly racing off, without much explanation. She found Katherin again, and said "I think we need to close the hole in the gym wall. Before more of it comes down. I was thinking maybe you could freeze my vines? A temporary fix until the walls replaced, of course"
