Hive World Luk

The door cracked open and the SOS stopped broadcasting, the Hive apparently realising that the constructs were here for a different purpose entirely. A voice beckoned them from the darkness in an alien tongue, and the room beyond the door slowly lit up, revealing the horde of spore forms that had been clinging to the roof. They scuttled away quickly.
For a few minutes, there was nothing, until a small ball like object dropped zipped out from the shadows into the center of the room. Lines of orange lit up as it produced the same images the constructs had projected, confirming that it was interested in the proposal. As far as the hive was concerned, they were being offered the location of their newest meal
It then blinked to a holographic image of an Iscandarian, then a spore form attacking it. Apparently the hive was interested in attacking the Iscandarians. The hologram changed to a childish rendition of a home, then a planet, an obvious proposal asking if the Gathering would direct then to the Iscandarian capitol world. The hives were under the impression that the EU has a wealth of knowledge (which was in many ways true) and they were interested in acquiring it. And what better place to look than the EU's capital world...
