"Sure" He picked up the infant easily, having done this with many, many children before. "Whoa there, little guy, take it easy" Auryn squirmed a bit but soon calmed down when he realized that Adykon's scent was similar to that of Caex's. 

Adykon's other children were either upstairs in their rooms or out sitting around the living room. Technically, since they were Caex's brothers and sisters, these were aunts and uncles to Auryn, but Adykon didn't mention this to them. He sat down with Auryn in his grasp, handing the child back to Avera after a few minutes. 

Aerta brought out some bread and tea, and then returned a second time with a bucket of warm water. "In case anyone wants to soak their feet" she added, sitting down on a cushion herself, crossing her legs and wrapping her tail around her waist.

"Hah! That's the adventurer I married" Larek said, patting her on the back. "Oh, your figure should return to normal quite soon. I can already see a difference." 

"No need to worry about it" Veax said, not sure how to respond to that.

"What do you want me to make?" Kos asked, hoping it was nothing complicated.
