Why not use creative curses for a futuristic setting? A bit like Firefly? Also - CS here. Hope it's okay ^^ ------ NAME: Caelum C. Jameson AGE: 27 PERSONALITY: Seemingly zany, Caelum's head is constantly in the clouds (or, more likely, the stars). Her dreamy behaviour is off-putting but is ultimately harmless as even under her haze of imagination she can focus on the job being done to a scarily obsessive extent. She devoutly believes in the false ideas of military service – honour, respect, camaraderie – and in that she is rather gullible. Her appearance of confidence and false bravado is nearly unshakable and even under the direst of odds she can forcefully remain optimistic; however, she is particularly careful to suppress her morbid thoughts and avoid being alone for a prolonged time. Her father, Captain Edgar Jameson, was a military serviceman and all-around bad boy. Family life was not for him and while he doted on his daughter, it wasn't enough to keep him grounded for long. She grew up primarily with her mother, Callisto, who was a religious extremist who feared the end of humanity was near if they did not collectively return to a traditionally pious lifestyle. Maybe she was right. As a result, Caelum's education suffered as in place of proper schooling she went through ritualistic teachings and the like – at least until her father found out. While willing to humour his wife's flighty spirituality, the same could not be said for his daughter's future. He uprooted her from the colony and returned her to Earth where she was enrolled in a military academy, prompting her ambition to become a pilot. Sure enough, Caelum excelled at it, taking up a job transporting essential cargo to and from colonies following graduation... at least until the second Great War came too close to home. She jumped on board the military bandwagon, passing through bootcamp and training to become the pilot of a bomber crew. While successful on many occasions, eventually they took on one mission too many and she was left as the sole survivor by sheer luck. Swearing never to physically fly a plane again, Caelum relies on her only other related talent – navigation – and was given the role of Navigational Commander on the SS Chronos.
