Kanajiro and Suki Hanamoto Slightly before Suki's exams Suki's exams were scheduled only a slight time after those of Kanajiro. It was something to do with the fact that her teacher had recently become ill, and the replacement teacher decided that it was time for exams as well. It seemed he had gotten bored of the class after merely a week and just decided that he wanted to be rid of them. Kanajiro had known the teacher that had gotten ill and decided that Suki should pay a visit together with him. He walked outside from just having changed into some neater clothes such as a black kimono top and some nice pants. He looked around, foolishly hoping to find Suki training, but ofcourse she wasn't there. He put his hands on his hips and looked up towards the roof, seeing Suki hanging back in the sun, practically asleep. “Suki. We're gonna visit your old teacher. Please join me.” Suki slowly lifted her head, a boring and disinterested look riddling her face. But she got up, albeit slowly, and jumped down. She landed with a thud, bending through to deal with the impact. She slowly looked up at Kanajiro, her black haired bangs shaking side to side as she got up again. “I guess.” she said and Kanajiro smiled at her, tilting his head a bit and squinting his eyes in a friendly manner. Somehow, he could see the likeness of his mother in her. Not that he ever saw her, but they had pictures of long ago. Of her with dad, holding Kanajiro in her arms and dad stretching his hands around her pregnant belly. Together they walked towards the Iwagakure hospital. Atleast there was one of them wearing clothes that fit the occasion. Atleast she had the Hanamoto crest embroidered in her coat. They walked past a busy street, many people eyeing the young Hanamoto leader and his sister, though not many recognised Suki. She seemed indifferent about it and slowly trudged besides Kanajiro, who walked slowly to match her pace. “Are you excited for your exams, Suki? It's a stroke of luck to be able to show your skills so soon. Please try your best.” he said quietly, smiling once again and squinting his eyes. She responded by looking down at the ground. “Yes, brother. I will do my best.” She made sure to hide her sigh that followed, but not well enough as Kanajiro heard it. “Thank you, Suki.” They closed in on the hospital and walked pasted Kariru, who happened to just be leaving. At this point in time Kanajiro only recognised her, but didn't know from where. Suki had barely any idea who this woman was and didn't even see her. They asked the receptionist where the teacher, miss Kuzaiya, had been put in a room. After some back and forth about who they were, and why they were here, they were allowed to go upstairs. Kanajiro knocked on door 5A twice, then pushed Suki a bit forward and pulled a small box of chocolates from his pocket, pushing it into her hands. “C-come in..” a somewhat shaky and torn voice replied. The woman looked to be quite healthy if you disregarded the bags under her eyes, the strings of hair hanging past her eyes loosely and her lack of self-care. She had been laying in the bed for a while, IV's hooked up to her body and several monitors around her monitoring several conditions of her body. Suki inched closer and bowed, extending the box of chocolate before her. Miss Kuzaiya gladly took the chocolate, making sure to put a hand on Suki's head as a 'thank you' before mumbling it in actual words, but not understandable enough. Despite her young age, Miss Kuzaiya looked really old due to catching the flu. She'd been bed ridden for some time now. “Ohhh, is that you.. Kanajiro-san?” Kanajiro stepped closer slowly, bowing before her next to his sister. They both rose up at the same time. “Yes, miss Kuzaiya. It's me and my sister, Suki-chan.” Once again he shoved her forwards, urging her to speak. Miss Kuzaiya looked at her with a smile, also waiting for her to say something. “H-hi miss Kuzaiya. Me and the class were worried about you. Please get better soon.” Miss Kuzaiya responded with a bigger smile than before and even Kanajiro couldn't help but smile. “Also, mister Odaime has already told us he'd give us the genin exams early this year.. somewhere next month.” Miss Kuzaiya flinched a second but regained her composure before Suki could see it. Kanajiro saw, however, and shared his feelings. It was obvious Suki wasn't quite ready yet, as she hadn't really gotten the shinobi mindset yet. She preferred slacking off and enjoying some downtime. Except, downtime was all she ever did. Kanajiro took this small moment of silence to bow and speak. “Excuse us, miss Kuzaiya. But we have to get back to home. I have to train with Suki-chan. After all, she must pass in your honor, right?” The teacher smiled and nodded at Suki, whom simply lowered her head. Together with Kanajiro, she left again. Once they got back, Kanajiro didn't even have to order Suki to go and train that very moment. She went herself, hailing one of the younger kids to act as a partner. After all she simply had to do some easy jutsu. Perhaps she'd be alright. Maybe. Kanajiro watched for a moment as Suki used the transformation jutsu with success and then headed inside. She'd be fine. Mom was watching over them and would ensure she'd be fine.
