Like the stereotype, the Irish family were originally mobsters, immigrants of the United States who filled the jobs in law enforcement. Because policemen were frowned upon in the past, those were the only jobs Irish immigrants had the ability to obtain. Anyhow, from generation to generation, children to grandchildren were taught and forced into law enforcement. Because of the high dislike of the Irish during the early days, the MacCrays began a reign of racism towards all forms of haters. This varied from Blacks to Asians, Natives to Indians, and all other races basically. Of course, skin color was the main issue with them. The obvious White was not a problem, it was merely everyone else. But by the twenty-first century, racism faded in both the MacCrays and most of the world. Because equality became the new trend and pop culture, there was basically no more hate between the colors. Of course there was still some issues abroad the system, but not enough to cause the MacCray family any issue to follow a new path. Then everyone changed when the new world came. After the old world fell and Providence was created in the East, technology had its own uprising. The creation of the android was the first step in causing the return of 'racism' in the MacCray family. It was ironic because the MacCrays were believed to follow the ideals of peace and equality through non-violence set by Mahatma Gandhi, born in India. It was obvious the MacCrays did not truly follow those ideals, just personally believed they did. But the point is that as androids progressed and became more and more human, they started to take over the jobs of the individual, destroying the economy and giving more power to corporations and the government. Equality was now out of the question. From the start, all the MacCrays wanted was the same opportunity as anyone else, and the android who was now known to malfunction disrupted that peace. There was known fact that a singular android had encompassed feelings and emotions, now becoming almost human - despite its interior structure. Because of the dangers of such an existing being, the government declared these 'feeling' androids as fugitives. And anyone who did not announce them in their possession would be charged for abetting a wanted fugitive. Now James MacCray followed that law to the last period. He exercised all his rights as an officer and made sure he was appropriately 'legit'. The MacCray family were now taught to hate these androids and blame them for the world's downfall. It was their creating that destroyed the economy, the ecosystem, caused the curse known as Providence. Extra: There is currently a total of five members in the MacCray family. - Grandfather: Tom MaCray = Retired Police Department Chief - Grandmother: Lori MacCray - Father: James MacCray = Current Police Department Chief - Mother: Angela MacCray - Daughter: Kristina MacCray ----------------------------------------------------- Dex Alexander Conlon Age: Twenty-seven years old Gender: Male Class: Prisoner - Used to work in the production of Hover vehicles/State of the art transportation technology Background Dex lived a very fine life with his wife Taylor who he'd been married to for over a year now. They're road to marriage had been tough, but in the end worked out just fine. Taylor worked from home, making websites for clients all through the new computerized systems. Dex on the other hand was basically a mechanic, building state of the art transportation vehicles such as hover cars and bikes. The two made enough money to live in near luxury here in Providence. They were even able to afford a servant android which made their life much easier. Even with the servant around, life continued as normal. Though during the day when Dex worked, Taylor and the android interacted very much. A woman can only go so long without converting with someone, so the android was the one to listen. But it seemed that this android - produced only to serve - was beginning to understand things outside its realm of mental capacity. The woman android started to feel and become 'friends' with Taylor more than just free labor. Once Dex found out - which he did on his own, Taylor did not bring up the subject - he resented the android, knowing that keeping a 'malfunctioning' servant was against the law, and he did not want to come across law enforcement again. But Taylor did not agree with her husband, defending the android and allowing it to stay. Soon enough, Dex also found a friend of the android, now named Elise. She was originally given that name, but was never addressed by it until her acceptance in the family. She was basically the sister Taylor nor Dex ever had. But with happiness and joy also did sadness and sorrow. Elise experienced feelings like any ordinary human, but not to a full extent. As she learned more and adapted, she became more and more human until there was basically no distinction between android and human. But the day she thought herself human was the day everything was ruined. Elise one day went out with Taylor for a walk. Neighbors already knew Elise to be a servant android, but noticed a difference in her strut, her personality, speech. Understanding the android was no longer doing her daily duties, some neighbors informed the Hark Police Department of this phenomena. That same day, after their walk, Taylor and Elise spent the day playing cards and watching television. At around seven in the afternoon, a loud knock struck at the door. "Hark Police Department!" a voice crossed through the door frame. Taylor quickly reacted by telling Elise to act more android, which she did. Once the wife opened the door, the police quickly barged through the door, the PD's Chief himself entering the premise first - James MacCray. Him and two other officers apprehended the android using force. Taylor yelled at them in defense, and at the sound of the yelling, Dex had just arrived in time to 'save' the day. The man attacked the two officers who apprehended Elise, pushing one of them to the ground and quickly punching the other. But this attack did not have the effect it was meant to as a bullet quickly pierced through Elise's chest, causing the android to look down and place her hands on top of her artificial heart. Three more rounds then sprung in different parts of Elise's body. Taylor screamed as loud as she could as fear exploded through her network. Dex found himself standing beside the now dead Elise as he witnessed a tear run down the side of her face. The two officers he had taken down had - by this time - gotten up and made sure Dex wouldn't do anything else he'd regret. "We keep finding more and more of you android lovers. Damn hypocrites. Rioting about the loss of jobs then you turn around and buy one of these.......these things, supporting the system. The system is broken!" the Chief said at that time. He waved his gun as though it was a toy. "You're a disgrace and don't deserve to live" the man had whispered in Dex's face. Dex spit in the Chief's eye, but was quickly struck in the face with the knuckles of the man's fist. "You assist an evil system most effectively by obeying its orders and decrees. Destruction is not the law of humans. I do not want to foresee the future. I am concerned with taking care of the present. God has given me no control over the moment following. He has given me control of the moment now" he said as his gun stopped waving and formed it's position towards Taylor. Quickly a bullet left the chamber and pierced through the woman's skull, her body falling like a puppet without strings. Dex yelled out "NOOOO!!!!" before he was struck upside his temple, knocked out cold. The day he was taken to prison after being charged for assault and battery on a police officer, aiding a wanted fugitive, and other charged for resisting law enforcement orders and commands, Dex walked down the white prison halls towards his cell, Chief MacCray escorting Dex himself. As the two walked, Dex's face revealed everything he was thinking. He wanted blood, revenge for the murder of his wife, and the man stood right before him. But Dex wasn't an idiot, if he did anything now, he'd have to suffer more than just three years in this rat hole. "I'm gettin' released. There's nuthin' you can do to stop that. I'll find out who you are, and where you live, and then i'm goin' to kill you" Dex swore as he was put in his cell.
