Ben Voss, Claire Voss, shannin Balore, Deborah Termellio, Jago Javuant She checked her watch. 8PM, on the dot. Just like they promised. "You might want to take this!" the man shouted over the rain, offering her an open umbrella. She hugged her coat closer to her body with one hand in a vain effort to keep warm as the water soaked through it. It was raining hard now. With the other she shook her hand in the direction saying 'no'. "It's no good!" she shouted over the howl of the rain, wind, and sea at the docks. "It'll just-" she began only for the umbrella to fold opposite to how it's supposed to. What she had predicted. "That!" she finished, shaking her head. She could hear sirens a little ways away, what was going on? "You might want to get going then!" the man said, getting off the ship and hurrying away with the broken umbrella in his hands. "Head to the student lounge, last I heard your husband was there before the line cut out." he said, placing a crumpled and soggy map in her hands and opening it, pointing to the lounge and where she was. "You two have a room. He knows where it is. You find him, you find shelter!" he said, before quickly hurrying off. "Wait sir, I-" she began, only for the man to hurry off and miss her over the sound of the storm. She looked down at the map again, and sighed. The captain of the transport ship had been in semi-frequent contact with the island for a while and not too long ago the connection cut. Arriving on the island during a storm, with it being pretty damn dark, and sirens not far made her nervous. She took a step and nearly jumped out of her skin when another powerful lightning strike fired off not far from where she was. She let out a quick "EEP!" and hurried away and off the docks, trying to make sense of the crumpled map from tthe condensation on her glasses and through the rain and noise. As she hurried along she walked past what seemed to be ambulence cars. Her eyes bulged as someone or thing even bigger than Ben walked out of the building, and began shouting into the sky. It hadn't noticed her. So she hurried onward, but she couldn't help but wonder... had it spoken english? After several minutes of running, she eventually happened upon what seemed to be the lounge. She burst inside, heaping and gasping for air fromt he constant running, and immediately felt the tiredness she hadn't yet felt from the adrenaline of running through the rain in fear of being struck by lightning. The lights were on, and there seemed to be a boy, on the ground surrounded by a red liquid. It wasn't thick enough to be blood, but it seemed to scare the shit out over everyone, especially the biggest person in the room... Ben! Ben, when the lights came on, gave what looked like a soundless scream and rushed over to Jago as if her was about to perform CPR on the poor African American boy. When he stood up, he wipped his forehead in relief, and looked like he was about to hug the kid. There was an African American woman, and a redheaded chick. Nice. Immediately she set up a connection with Ben's mind, and Ben whipped around to face her as she did so. Before Ben could even notice her, Deborah had realized that Claire was there (The woman knows Ben well, likely a romantic interest of some sort). Oh, how cute. The Gentle-Giant has a girlfriend. That wasn't too unexpected, since it's all about finding the right one. Deborah's gaze briefly peered towards Shannon - before she had to smile. Yup. All about finding the right one. Deborah watched them though... they didn't utter a single word - which in Ben's case - (The woman is a telepath, and they are having a mental conversation) -.oooooh, okay. That makes sense. Deborah couldn't read the woman as accurately as everyone else. Deborah herself was going to watch as their mental conversation take place... She could see the similiarites between her mental conservations with Shannon. "...Claire?!" she heard him think. One's voice translated into their thoughts much like how it would be if they were speaking. She had a great idea what Ben would actualy sound like, if he could actually speak. His voice was deep, exactly the kind of voice you would expect from a man like him, but it had a childish and friendly undertone to it, very different from what he could be. "The one and only!" she replied, walking over with a big smile and hugging Ben, who went stiff as a board as her clothes were soaked and freezing cold. "Cold!" she heard him think. She release the hug and gave him an apologetic look, and took a few steps back. She was about to reply, but Ben must've felt it, and beat her to the punch. "Redhead is Shannon, really nice girl, can control cotton!" he though to her, motioning to Shannon wildly and striking a pose next to her. Then he wound up his arms and pointed to Deborah. "This is Deborah! I dont really know exactly what she does, but she's really close friends with Shannon!" and then he jumped over to Jago. "Jago is my brother from another much younger mother. He makes shields and steals things." he said, then he motioned over to Nicholas. "His fire makes EXCELLENT popcorn! Want some?" he thought to her, picking up the bag he had set down when the lights came back on and offering it to her. As he did so, she noticed that there were little glowing plants in his hands that he had no doubt been using at some point. They slithered under his sleeves and disappeared into the darkness, the glow fading away as if traveling far away. She took the bag of popcorn from Ben as she felt him realize something, and then ate as he did a frantic dance and showing the group his ring finger, taking off the simple golden band and holding it outwards, before pointing at her. She sighed at her husband's idiocy, with Ben not helping by adding "I also helped save them from a collapsing shipwreck!" Nevermind he was ADHD as fuck when it came to though process. What the fuck did he do while she was gone (He didn't cheat on her, that's for sure!). Of course not cheating. Ben's too stupid to realize you can date other women while married and potentially get away with it. It was a no-no to him. "I heard that." she heard him think. "Sorry you all had to deal with that," she began. "Ben told me who you were, Shannon, Deborah, and Jago, correct?" she said. "I'm Claire. If you haven't figured it out, which is okay if you havent because Ben's terrible at chirades, I'm Ben's wife." she said. "It's a pleasure to meet you?" "Yo, lady," Jago started off, turning towards Claire as drips of gatorade dropped off of him - he needed to take a damn shower. "How did Big-Man tell you shit? He ain't got no board." He raised an eyebrow. Jago sized up the woman - well, she was bigger than he was. And kinda looked a little Asian! Weren't they tiny and shit? Well, theres also plenty of rumours about them fucking tentacle monsters, but are those true? With this weird ass school, anything possible. Like that one guy who could mindfuck people. Or that one girl who could inflate her tits. Maaaan, that girl was awesome. Too bad she pushed herself and made her them explode in a cloud of milk and flesh. Oh! That reminded him... He looked up Claire's curvature and tiiiight. But nice tits, though. Jago laughed to himself as he thought. Shannon rolled her eyes at Jago's rude comment. Of course the boy couldn't see outside the box just for one second - he wasn't the brightest light. Shannon herself could come up with a few theories on how this woman knows them. The easiest one had to be that Ben told her earlier today rather than recently. "Hello there..." Shannon said with a blank face. Personally, she didn't care too much for Claire right off the bat. Merely because she knew that she'd get a reason to dislike her... Though, that's what she thought about Ben before she... started.... liking him... God dammit. "Hello there." Deborah finally said something after scanning everyone else's reactions, and making up her own response. Claire raised an eyebrow and took a second. It was much harder to do this with others not named Ben Voss. She took a moment, and after a few seconds felt Jago's mind in her own. She frowned at the mount of porn in his memory. Like, Jesus tapdancing Christ. "Like this. Honeslty, Pornhub isn't that good kid. Get to the good stuff." she projected. "Thanks for the compliment!" she thought in a whimsical tone. She briefly wondered what Ben would think of this. He'd probably want to strangle the poor kid for a second, but he'd sleep on it and nothing would change. "Tits, and mundane thoughts centered around porn. The usual." she commented, looking over at Shannon and waving. "Hello! It's a pleasure to meet you!" She then looked over at Deborah. "You're Deborah, yes? Ben's told me a lot about you two being really close friends." She said, walking forward and taking Deborah's hand and shaking it, and then doing the same for Shannon. "Jago is your cousin, yes?" She said, directing the question to Deborah. It felt a bit... awkward... talking to a telepath. It sounded hypocritical given that her power was a living invasion of privacy (And she has commited many acts of invasion of privacy), but she was a Secret Keeper. Her head was full of things that she would rather keep private, and there was no way - that she can tell - she could stop it. For others, and herself. A telepath defeated the purpose of that epithet, didn't it? Worse of all, Claire could easily learn of the real relationship between herself and Shannon... They are more than just being close friends. Deborah was going to give her the benefit of the doubt and hope that she'll follow a mutal Secret Keeper agreement. "Yes, yes, and yes." Deborah replied cheerfully, using a matching smile to mask her deep down thoughts and worries. "Deborah Termellio, Secret Keeper and..." She had to trail off, she figured that what she was going to say to Claire was best done... mentally. She extended her hand to Claire so she could shake it - but the moment she did, Deborah would send her a mental message of her own: Hello, Claire, I'll cut to the chase, I know that you're a telepath. The way you know of things and how my power works tells me so. I need to ask that you keep anything you get out of my head, well, a secret. I know it sound odd, but I know things. Things that would... bother people if they ever got out. And I'm not just talking about me. Upon shaking hands with Shannon she had set up something with Deborah, and cut the line she had with Jago. She wasn't good enough to be reading multiple people at once unless it was a 'group call'. As their minds linked, and she tuned in just as Deborah began to speak about how her power worked. She momentarily picked at her memoties and quickly realized why she was explaining this. "I understand." she replied. "Ben's secretly really worried about turning into a plant one day and would probably go ape shit if he heard me tell you this. Keep that a secret and I'll keep all of yours." she said, giving Deborah a smile to add a humorous tint, and winked. Thanks. Deborah replied, mentally as always. She felt a bit relieved that Claire was willing to keep it all a secret - Claire even told her a secret of her own. Which was more or less sealing the deal. Deborah would never share a secret (at least, not intentionally). Everything that goes into her never comes out, and she intended on keeping it that way. Deborah broke contact with Claire and smiled. Ben in the meantime was chasing Jago around with a poolstick attempting to bash his skull in and get around the shield. "HAHAHA, ULTIMATE SHIELD, BABY!" Jago shouted as he laughed like a madman as Ben couldn't get through his shields. Nothing could. NOTHING! "CAN'T TOUCH THIS SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT!'" Your wife's tits are amazing! "... Play nice you two..." Deborah had to moan as she facepalmed. "Dear lord..." Shannon put her hands on her hips and let out a sigh. Looks like Ben and the Fool are going at it. With a pool cue. In the middle of a crowded room. For no reason at all. She'd expect this kind of behavior from Jago, but Ben? Maybe she got a little hasty. Though, she was curious about what was going on Debby-side. She got the feeling something was up. Maybe it was how Claire knew about certain things... Ah... Shannon guessed the woman was an Information type. Most likely telepath going off that "tits and mundane thoughts" off-comment. Otherwise Deborah wouldn't be this interestest would she? Ah, she must be worried about word of us getting out... I don't know why, we are something beautiful. Shannon thought to herself, she wasn't worried about a thing. Because Claire would learn about it either way. Claire briefly heard Ben shout something in his own mind about Jago getting the ability to shield from DNA mixing with the torn condom his dad used that led to his birth. "Language!" she said to him. She had to keep her loveable man-child in line somehow. "There's something going on by the cafeteria. If any of ya'll know anything about that do tell. But I aint going out there again for a while." she said nodding over to the lounge doors.
