“WAKE UP!” Minoru sat up suddenly, blinking the dots from his vision and the intense ringing in his ears. He looked down at his hands as the last bit of his memory slammed into his mind like the proverbial truck. Minoru expected his hands to be horribly scarred or burned but he looked perfectly fine. Weird how his luck protected him in that regard. Now, as for that voice… It felt familiar but it wasn’t the person he was looking for, that was for sure, it was someone else. The image of a young girl with long black hair and dark eyes glaring at him as she chewed a lollipop. Oh, great, someone else he can’t remember. “Ugh, that really hurt,” Minoru muttered to himself as he rubbed his arms, again expecting to feel as if his entire body was on fire but he felt perfectly fine. Minoru blinked as he looked up, a woman was standing over him. She was pretty, Minoru figured, with long blue hair and scary icy-blue eyes, she stared at Minoru as if he were an interesting specimen. “Oh.” Minoru said as he looked at the woman, wondering who she was. In fact, as he looked around the “room” he was in, he realized he didn’t exactly have a clue where he was. It was annoying collection of pipes as if a really excited plumber went overboard in helping out with designing this place. Minoru’s extraordinary senses went into overload as he absorbed every detail of his surroundings. The pipes were new, almost brand new which means this building is either constantly in pristine condition or created recently, this correlates with the floor is clean much too clean for a place like this. Minoru placed his palms against the floor and felt subtle vibrations against it, like something churning in the innards of the building. Something is active here, that was for sure. He examined the woman. Tall, pretty, but clearly not normal. A sort of power radiates from her body, something normal people won’t exude. All of this comes to one obvious conclusion. This is Heaven! And this woman is an angel. Clearly, after Minoru was struck by the stray lightning bolt, and didn’t sustain much damage other than damage to his ears and central nervous system, he was killed and brought to Heaven. This woman, therefore, is an angel! Minoru grinned almost naively as he put out his hand to shake with the woman’s. “Nice to meet you! I’m Min—“ Minoru doubled over, curling up in a fetal position, gripping his hand as he lurched and twitched in pain. “OWWWWWW!” He complained, rolling around as he held his wrist while fire burned through his nerves, feeling like his hand was being cut clean off. For thirty seconds or so, Minoru rolled around, groaning in pain then finally he awkwardly sat back up. “Okay… So this isn’t Heaven then,” Minoru muttered. “Then…” Minoru gasped as the realization came to him, he pointed dramatically at the woman. “YOU’RE A BAD GUY!” Minoru didn’t know much about his past, but he knew, for sure, that he wasn’t a fan of bad guys they just tended to be so… bad. But what could he do? This woman was strong after all! She could inflict damage on him… THROUGH TELEKINESIS. Of course, what other explanation was there? Still, Minoru laughed confidently and played with his dark hair the way a cool-guy protagonist would. “Enemy of Light, you have made a foolish decision facing me in battle. Since you’ve already shown me your telekinetic ability, I’ve already developed a counter to it! YOU MIGHT AS WELL GIVE UP NOW!” Then, Minoru would jump up and face the terrible demon in epic battle for the fate of the world. He’s so damn cool he might even spit a few sick rhymes while he’s at it… At least, he would if his legs worked. Awkwardly, Minoru poked his leg and found he couldn’t feel the sensation of his finger. “SHIT!” he cursed as he punched his legs, he couldn’t feel anything! The lightning strike! It must’ve screwed up his nervous system so badly he lost feeling in his legs! Still, cool guys don’t lose their cool. They don’t lose their cool no matter what… because he’s so damn cool. “I don’t need my legs to defeat you, demon!” Minoru cried. “GIVE UP TO THE SIDE OF JUSTICE!” There. He bluffed. Hopefully, this demon would be so intimidated by Minoru’s awesome might that she would commit seppuku right then and there to spare her the embarrassment.
