Quick-Bio: Alexander was born in New Ontario, one of the colonies. He was never that outstanding an individual, went to high school, college, expecting to live a normal life, like his parents and grandparents. Sadly no luck in finding 'the one' which was his biggest priority, but that was never a major concern of his. He expected to live, run the convenience store he owned, and not much more.

Then they met the Thresh Empire, and the war began. The Alliance was driven back, her colonies laid to siege. but it wasn't Alexanders problem until New Ontario was attacked, the colony laid to the sword by the Thresh. The Alliance fought, but were driven back. And Alexander was forced to watch from one of the last transports out as the world fell. 

After that, he was a refugee in the Inner Colonies, living off the welfare of the state. But that wasn't a state of affairs he put up with for long as he enlisted, both to have something to do, to protect what was left of the Alliance, and to eventually retake his home. Joining the space forces, he was assigned to a patrol ship, before eventually being moved up to more important assignments rapidly as those people who were seen to be competent were shifted to where they were needed as the war grew more desperate and the enemy closed on Earth, the capital of the Alliance. 

He distinguished himself in action at the Battle of Europa, where his daring maneuvers allowed some transports evacuating civilian population to escape destruction by the Thresh, but in contravention of orders. Because of his actions, he was given a promotion since the media wouldn't let them dismiss him, and made Captain of the ANS Mittnick, a support ship outfitted with EMC hardware and experimental cloaking technology. Sometimes he wonders if this was a promotion, or punishment detail [/hider]

This ship is an experimental support class. Initially designed as an electronic warfare unit, jamming, hacking, decrypting enemy communications, it was taken over by the R&D section of the Alliance to serve as a testbed for new technologies as the fight grew all the more desperate. It was equipped with new stealth technologies, to better serve in a support capacity against enemy fleets, via spying and ambush tactics. 

The ship is currently manned by normal personnel, as well as a dedicated section of technicians, many of whom sport augments and cybernetics and are generally.....weird, in mannerism and personality. Still, their technological expertise is invaluable if any hiccups arise in the course of missions.
