character sketch - Ouji Riyuujin (born, Ouji Taneuma) [early 22nd century] Taneuma lived in an isolated japanese village just off the coast from Osaka. His Father was part of a group of activists who fought to keep the japanese traditions alive. They were resisting the age of absolute modernization being ushered in by the new liberal government. technology was being used to drive the lives of men and japan was only the tip of the iceberg. The world had decided to let go of petty things like culture and heritage. those who resisted were secretly killed by a faction of japanese intelligence agency dedicated for this task alone. after seeing his Father being burnt alive outside his house, taneuma resolved to avenge his father and continue what he had begun. He changed his name to Riyuujin, the dragon God, and immersed himself into the way of the samurai. at the age of 17, he took the AxE entrance exam to become an assassin, began studying the precision ability and chose blade as his skill. During the one month in which he was supposed to procure his weapon, he travelled back to japan, found the commander-in-chief of the faction which executed his father (amongst countless others), killed him and took his katana for his weapon of choice. As fate would have it, the blade of the katana had the following words inlayed in pure Gold - 龍神 - "riyuujin". He knew at that very moment that He had succeeded in choosing his weapon correctly. riyuujin passed the grand masters' assessment with a skill level of 7 and immediately became a semi-pro. he is a calm and calculative person with complete control over the katana. He likes the feel of bare metal and loves to deliver quick one-slash "precision" kills. He lives by the Samurai code of honour, which dictates that he must kill only those who truly deserve to die. His dark eyes reflect the days from his broken childhood but his composure soon makes up for what his eyes give away. he has been staying in [our current location, which we shall decide together] and living off contracts from local privateers and corrupt government officials.
