As Liz neared the goal, Felice dropped back a bit to ensure that Dante wouldn't get the chance to make it there first. They could actually win this! 

Unfortunately, he forgot to watch for Kido, so when he showed up just a short distance from Liz, he wasn't in much of a position to do much about it. "Run, Liz! You're almost there!" 

Kido kept after Liz as fast as he could move. She was so close to the goal, though, she would probably score in a moment. Giving it one last effort, he jumped in her general direction in an attempt to get close.
