Cassie nodded and smiled slightly when he said he wanted her help. Maybe they could do this. And if not at least trying to cure this disease was better than trying nothing at all and sitting around waiting to die. She nodded when he told her to get some rest and stretched slightly, "Okay." Maybe she could sleep this off. Who knew, maybe this virus couldn't affect her, just like she couldn't catch it air born. She could feel a little bit of hope blossoming in her as she leaned back and curled up, ready to go to sleep for a little bit. But she found she couldn't. She supposed all the rest she had gotten already was keeping her awake. But, at least she could just close her eyes and enjoy the peace and quiet of the ride. But, that peace disappeared when she heard the rain outside. At first it didn't worry her because it had started out in a light sprinkle. But, not even five minutes in it was suddenly pouring down in heavy sheet, obscuring their view of the road. She sat up, frowning a the sight and hoping that Rex had a good hand on how to drive in the rain. Or at least, not make them crash in the rain. She glanced over at him to see him concentrating on the road and when she looked back forward, she could tell it wasn't only the road he was concentrating on. Sitting up straight, she leaned forward, trying to look as well, seeing two bright lights ahead of them, moving straight toward them. She blinked in suprise, a worried look coming to her face as Rex turned off the headlight and pulled over to the side of the road. Once the car was off, Cassie leaned toward the window as well, gasping when she saw had to have been one of the alien's vehicles. She ducked down as well, a nervous look on her face as she looked back to him. "How are they always so close to us? It always seems like they're getting one step ahead of us every time we think we could be close to being free of them."
