Flynn finally gives up and pants heavily. He shakes his head and looks back up to Rhianned. ''Nothing. No animals or people... Which makes me wonder. The thing we saw in that lake, was it really a beast? Or... was it something else? Which... reminds me.'' 
He climbs back up on the ship and walks directly to the engineering compartment and comes back with something that looks like a small satellite. ''I made this while you were out. It's a distress signal. We launch it into space and it will broadcast to nearby systems... At least... that's what I hope it will do. It could as well explode. One or another.'' He scratches his nose and brings it back to the compartment, just to return right afterwards. ''It still needs some tinkering, though I hope to get it done before the day is done.''
