Backstory: Heiligwald's father came from German and English descent, and Heiligwald's mother came from oriental descent. Being devout Catholics, they died in the Rapture in Daren's earlier years, around age 12, and left him utterly alone. Their deaths pushed him to renounce Christianity as his faith and become atheist. 5 years passed, and Daren received visions from beyond. He was warned of Delmore, and his suspicions once held down in the back of his mind developed into a understanding of Delmore's depravity. He was told of the transcendent destiny in the future of mankind, and he decided that he would work within the YC to destroy the GWC and subdue the threat of Delmore. These visions forced him into the role as a chosen hero, and he became devout, reviving many forgotten practices.
