June's grin never faltered as he listened to the loud gulping noise the kid made as he chugged away at the soda behind him. From the look he'd gotten at the youth he'd pegged him as a hard case, which meant he was going to be a barrel of laughs if nothing else. From June's experience most people who had lived rough enough to look that mean that young didn't appreciate hedonist oddballs like himself. His hair usually got him a good reaction if his clothes failed to do the job. Still he wasn't looking for a fight, verbal or physical, in the middle of an auditorium packed full of folks looking to hear about a dead student. He liked to watch people do their thing but even he had his boundaries. June wasn't about to disrespect the dead, not when they'd died under the academy's nose like that. But he would certainly file this kid away for later, he wanted to see how far he could push him before they started swinging. Needless to say he was surprised when they actually called out to him, 'anime cosplay gone wrong' wasn't likely to be anyone else after all. He shifted to sit side saddle on the chair, his sleeveless pale arm laying on the back rest as his crossed legs lounged in the aisle. His expression was one of genuine amusement as he eyed the kid cheekily "Cosplay huh? Yeah I couldn't decide who to be so I went with a blue haired version of myself. Still I figured it was better than matted hair clumps-" he wasn't exactly putting venom into the words, just giving dreadlock here a little tit for tat "-much to pirate-y for my tastes, but hey, whatever works for you". The kid hadn't exactly opened with a ray of sunshine but the fact he'd spoken to him at all piqued June's interest no end, dreadlock might not be such cheap fun after all. A thin wry smile had crept up onto June's features during his little jab, but as the room fell into hushed silence at the headmasters tapping cane it dropped like a stone. June's head turned fractionally, almost on instinct at the sudden silence, and he gave dreadlock a swift, final glance before swivelling around to focus fully on the stage. Until next time kid. He sat stock still as he took in the speech, only his pursed lips betraying his growing frustration, it was all empty words and posturing, the gasbagging of a failed protector. He said nothing about what was actually being done to find the killer, not even admitting that the death was murder even though the whole damned school knew by now, plus his countermeasures didn't even make sense! How was he possibly going to enforce that rule? And how were students going to coordinate their movements when the education structure was so free form? The man was an idiot and had done nothing but show that fact during the entirety of his speech. A soft curse rattled under June's breath as he shook his head in disgust. This girl Vera deserved a better response that a weak speech by a weak man.
