Well in my ideal canon, after Pain he didn't need the title. You don't need to be Hokage to give a damn about your village and everyone in it, and he's had more sway not being Hokage. Just make Naruto a close adviser and I'm sure there'll be no hard feelings about it, but Sakura's got to work hard, it's gonna be hard running against the man who saved the village xP Ino can make it easier on him if he does lose, but I think he'd hug Sakura and congratulate her for it. He'd love to see her face on the mountain, as Kakashi would. Team 7 is gonna be A-Ok, I'm sure of it <3
