Yeah a lot of authors these days seem to be making endings to books that the fanbase isn't always satisfied with, and I don't know if it's just the pairing wars being lost for people or if its just lacking satisfaction. I like them better as friends too, I didn't get the huge leap with 'Haymitch promise me Peeta lives.' and I thought I might've missed how important this was for her. Maybe because Katniss is just a good person? It just feels like a case of 'Read the books to better understand it' and I may need to do that. Movies just don't get everything.
