Jalag Off the port of Old Yal'thque Ariamas Talai A pair of tired eyes settled on the young operative strapped to the front of a very powerful and large rocket, grumbling at the thought that this under-designed piece of equipment may actually work. Lifting her tablet to look at the status of the engines and operative, Ariamas slowly walked down the runway toward her Vanguard. As she arrive, a lieutenant saluted her, only to not receive one back from the former Captain. Clearing his throat, he spoke. "Ms. Talai, all preparations have been made and we simply waiting for our lane to clear." Ariamas sighed. "Tell me lieutenant...... what's your name?" The man straightened himself out. "Ulisism. Cassius Ulisism." Aria rolled her eyes. "Lieutenant Cassius.... do you intend to be as useful as my tablet or are you going to be a living breathing Aradite and tell me what you think." She spoke blandly as she stared at her tablet. The officer was taken off gear by her remark as she turned her attention to the operative. "Vanguard 079, what is your opinion on our little test?" Aria asked loudly. The cameras on the vanguard's helmet focused on Aria, keeping his eyes trained on the runway. "Well Ma'am.... I'm strapped to a rocket that may explode when launched and if this test is a success, then I will be flying at high speed out into the ocean. All in all, I think this is going to be fun either way."Aria patted 079 on the shoulder and smiled before looking toward Lieutenant Cassius. "This isn't a military operation, Cassius. Speak your mind or don't speak at all." Cassius' shoulders dropped as he sighed. "Ma'am I am worried about the safety of the operative. This barely seems practical and even then that is a stretch." 079 chuckled loudly as he settled into his position. Aria grinned. "I agree! This device would be more effective if it could deliver a squad to the battlefield, but we are testing whether or not it is possible for an operative to pilot the device without hitting the ground or flying into the air uncontrollably. 079, do you have your fail safe button on hand and ready?" He nodded as Cassius slowly began to walk off the run way. Aria waved toward the medical team close by. "Are you gentlemen ready if anything 'interesting' happens?" The team leader gave her a thumbs up as she followed the lieutenant. Settling in at the observation area, Ariamas leaned back in her chair. "Fire when ready...." She remarked calmly.
