Mutt decided to follow Meruin simply because he didnt want the little magician to pass out in the hallways. He silently suspected that Meruin forfeited from exhaustion. Mutt didnt want to be rude though, so he followed from just out of sight.

Upon arriving at Meruin's room, Mutt walked up to the door, which was left slightly ajar by the eager magician, and sniffed about with his nose. Suddenly, there was a screechy high pitched sound that sounded like Meruin!
[i]"MERUINS IN TRIUBLE![/i] Mutt thought. Heroicly, Mutt ripped the door clear off its hinges using his rather incredible strength, and tossed it into the hallway, through the wall into a class half way. Then, Mutt jumped into the centre of the room, puffed his chest and roared with all his might.

He hoped to scare whatever was hurting Meruin long enough to get his claws on them, so he had to make the roar big. Windows, and doors rattled up and down the hallway, nearby books were blown aside, the carpet lifted, and of coarse, everybody on campus (practically) poked their heads out to see what was going on. The vast majority of which had no idea there was a werewolf on campus. 

After Mutt's roar, his yellow eyes searched the room in a predator like fashion, and mutt took a deep breath preparing another earth rattling roar. Thats when he noticed... Meruin was alone! She wasnt in any danger at all! And... Mutt just tarnished her room, for what qas now, no good reason. Mutt lost his breath and found himself struggling with words. 
"Meruin! I was... I mean like... It was just... And i was conserned... And then i followed you, and... I didnt mean to! It was just,.. I heard you scream... But now... And then!...." There was a long momentary pause... "im so sorry!"
