Do you really [i]need[/i] any more font or code options? It's a play-by-post forum, you've got everything you need with Italics, Bold and Underlined font. Pick up your favourite book. Did the author use Green font color when one character was talking and Red for another? No. Because you don't need it. Anyone worth their literary salt with basic grammar skills can use what's available on their keyboard alone. Just look at Animorphs. Speaking through telepathy? Replace "" with <>. Simple.
Inner monologue? Italics. Shouting? Bold or Underline. Reading a text excerpt? Italits and maybe bold. It's not that hard. Anything else is you just wanting it to look purrdy. The fact the URL or IMG codes are present is merely an extension of the fact that some stories and books contain maps, just look at Tolkien. These aren't comics, they're [i]text posts[/i]. Use your words like a big boy.
