Despite the noisy surroundings, Markus perked up at the sound of something approaching his position. It stood out given how most things were scrambling away from the scene of destruction. Turning around, he was a bit surprised to see two rather young-looking ladies walk out into the makeshift clearing. Despite being concealed by his helmet, he raised an eyebrow while shifting his grip. Picking his weapon up, the grip change let him rest the blunt side comfortably on his shoulder. He let the girl grab his free hand without much concern, trusting his armor and instincts would be enough if she tried anything. “Oh? That’s curious.” Given he’d been in the forest for quite some time now, Markus was fairly certain nothing had landed in the immediate vicinity for a while. While it was possible that the two and their companions could have walked this deep in, their state of attire made him think otherwise. They didn’t look like they were lost wanderers who’d somehow managed to traverse the many miles between their current location and Gold Village. Nonetheless he still answered, gesturing to the correct direction through the sea of trees as he said, “If you travel about two dozen miles in that direction the forest should start to clear out.” “Still. You wouldn’t happen to know anything of the Dragon Tribe nearby would you?” Markus couldn’t be certain, but looking over the four individuals nearby raised a few suspicions, even putting aside the two’s story. Wondering if it would work, he took a deep breath before letting a sharp killing intent out as he passed his gaze over the four once more. He didn't know if any of these people had ever been in a fight for their life before, but it wasn't exactly an easy sensation to forget once experienced. At least that's how it felt to him; people he'd talked with before described it differently to him at times.
